Redemption PressReviews of redemption-press.com

The editors were thorough and knowledgeable about procedures to not only correct the material but to better bring out the ideas.

It was helpful to be able to pay electronically. The original invoice was unclear about the payment being monthly or a total. The $347/month was stated on the second invoice. Thank you

Zoom connects were great. I recommend them being slightly longer and having a larger variety of discussion questions then repeating the same general ones each time. For speakers either in Roar fb page or zoom workshops, I would have liked if speakers didnt just read off their slides, but contributed more content not found on slide. There could be some benefit to having social media workshops that were for those not very familiar with using it and those who aren't new and desired to learn more advanced or currently trending techniques. It also could involve understanding the analytic data, such as what is counted as engagement etc. Other potential workshop ideas: Creative Copywriting Getting out of writers block Advanced graphic design/ visual resources (not everything in canva)

I knew nothing about book publishing and got guidance in all the different areas as I proceeded through all the different steps of getting my book ready for publishing.

I have been very pleased with the service you provide. When I had received a book and not the copie of my book. You were very quick to respond and correct the error.

What Redemption Press does well is hire staff with sincere hearts and great expertise in their area. However, all people have their own life issues, and we had the misfortune of having two people assigned to us who were over-stretched in commitments, thus placing us for months and months on the back-burner. Finally, reluctantly, we complained to Athena Holtz, who personally worked with us to rectify the situation. The last few months were a great experience with some amazing people and our finished product, excellent. The timeline was from September 2020 to May 2023.

As far as a self-publishing company is concerned, there are many positive, as well as outstanding, attributes I experienced with Redemption Press. Though many employees have been replaced since my book was published in 2017, the founder Athena Holtz was an integral part of the process and had a standard of excellence she continually required from her staff. The finished product was better than hoped for and much appreciated.

My experience with Redemption Press has been great. Athena is fantastic to deal with, responsive, and ready to put into print issues that other Christian publishers may shy away from. She is committed to excellence in publishing, just as I am. She is very well known in the industry, and she does a lot to help rising authors hone their craft, enter writing contests, and get recognized. I heard one publishing professional call her "a force of nature." That's a pretty strong recommendation! She also helps authors with marketing, which, admittedly, many of us are not great at. The editors have been good to work with as well. Very helpful. It is a collaborative process, with a lot of back and forth, and they are committed to excellence. They are also kind and thoughtful of their authors, as they gently nudge us through the process and pray for us. My first book, Overcoming the Narcissist, Sociopath, Psychopath and Other Domestic Abusers, was nearly 600 pages, and I asked for a lot of unique things because of the nature of my topic. It has over 200 footnotes. I needed a 2 sided book jacket, with one side being a "decoy" for women in unsafe situations who could not bring home a 4 pound book about abusers when they are still in abuse. Redemption Press was more than accommodating, and appreciated the need for these special requests. The book won numerous awards, thanks to the commitment of Athena and her team to embrace the vision that I had for it, and make it top notch.
