I have played this game daily for years, but over the years, my enjoyment has decreased with each update. I have not spent a cent on the game, but find it increasingly difficult to be creative as I used to due AI voting (which is random not judged for excellence in design). Rewards for winning 1st-3rd place earns less than it used to, with random items rewarded (often not useful to designer’s personal taste). You must also maintain your designer status or be locked out of items which you have earned/purchased because they are not available at a lower level. Of course, you could pay to secure your status or pay for the items again too, showing their priorities for cash with little regard for the player experience. They have also added a card collection element, which is pointless, as you’re rewarded with card packs in random themes during the month. The card packs frequently contain duplicates which you have to collect for additional card packs which may contain more duplicates. Rarely do you ever earn any real rewards, and those that you do may not be useful to your style preferences. I keep hoping things improve, but things keep declining. Have been considering deleting the app as it’s no longer fun.

From a loyal player turned disappointed “Expert” I reached the Expert level playing every day without paying a cent — because I wanted to create, not buy fake coins. After the latest update, every item I earned suddenly became a “rental.” I have to pay again (with another new coin type!) just to reuse what I already unlocked. I’m not designing to make money; the company owns everything anyway. We give them free creative ideas, they turn around and charge us to keep using them. That’s not a game — it’s exploitation. The joy of designing is gone. The update turned Redecor into a greedy coin-drain machine that punishes the very players who built its community. I’m done. Sally Shami

I have played this game for 2 years. At the beginning, the game provides you with a lot of currency. However, be warned that despite the aesthetics, this game is basically a budgeting game because items are either locked by premium currency or cost high amounts in-game. You can't move on with your designs with the materials you like, most likely because you can't afford them or they're unlocked. Customer service is also known to be unreliable. You can give it a try, but don't take the "voting" personally, as I've seen for myself how excellent designs get the lowest ratings possible.

I've been playing this game for two years and am at the point where I think I'm going to remove the app from my phone. Why? Glad you asked! The voting system SUCKS! I am so frustrated that the ugliest designs consistently get the higher ratings. Like, come on!!! I also think the garden game is horrible, & the coins and money you purchase don't last.

Now that Redecor has installed AI for judging the designs, rather then relying on human judges, they can control who wins and who loses. This gives them the ability to make things more "balanced" by keeping weaker designers in the game by rewarding them with 1st through 3rd place (top spots to allow you to stay in the game). These weaker designs absolutely do not deserve it (imagine purple, orange and black polka dots and stripes in a minimalist design competition coming in first place!) Better designers are bumped toward the end as losers. This triggers people's desire to win and, therefore, more willing to put real money into the game and real money into Redecor's pockets. It also discourages veteran players knowing the game is rigged. Additionally, they've replaced the better prizes, like coins, for useless card packs, which require hundreds of these collected in order to earn a handful of coins. Typically takes about a month of collecting these useless card packs to win coins. The prize wheels used to have real rewards/prizes, now they just have those cards. On top of that, they have increased the prices on most of the materials you can buy. So, it has become more and more difficult to afford the materials, unless putting real money in constantly. I'm inches away from pulling out of this game all together, even though I've mostly enjoyed playing it (up until now) for over 5 years. Recore, get rid of those cards and the unfair, biased AI judging.

The new upgrade is absolutely awful. Everything is expensive and you're locked out of alot of things, especially when you are restricted by designer inventory, if you don't spend money your designs look awful. If you do spend money it's gone very quickly, as the colour scheme you want is likely locked, hence you have to spend more. The swap cards are horrible and pretty worthless. You need to do something or loose consumers.

Beware of this gambling game. The voting is done with algorithms to get you to pay them more money. They treat you like dirt in their Official group. The game used to be good until Playtika took over. They have ruined a good game. Items are overpriced and the scoring has become dreadful. Don’t expect a good score for a good design. It’s all set up to make you win only so many times. BIG RIP OFF!!!!!

Everything costs more in items than you receive in the voting process. The game used to be good a year or so ago, now, it's not worth your time.
