Beware - very convoluted or tricky cancellation process.
RealEstateAgents.com generated very little traffic to my site which didn’t materialized in to any single lead or customer contact for me. But as many other users reported, the really unsettling are the their business practices: Beware that you are signing up for an automatic quarterly renewal contract and unless you cancel 30 days prior to your auto-renew date – you won’t be reminded – they will just attempt to charge your card right away and if unsuccessful, they will be chasing you for the renewal payment. So you will speak to them and make it very clear that you don’t see any value in the service for you and will proceed with the payment only under the condition that they will cancel immediately after the payment is made. They will explain you the fairly convoluted cancellation process RealEstateAgents.com is using: you will receive an email with a cancellation code. You need to login to your profile and enter this specific code to cancel the subscription on their site. So you do all of that that and expect that it took one extra payment for the service with no value to you, but at least you’ve finally canceled. Wrong! After another 2,5 month (so you are out of the 30 day cancellation window) you will receive another notification, requesting a third payment. You will talk to the same person you spoke the last time and she will explain you that she is very sorry, that she does remember the discussion with you the last time and your very clear request to cancel, but as the cancellation process wasn't properly completed, the only way to cancel the service is to make your third payment and attempt yet another cancellation!! During our second cancellation attempt you will find out that if there is any error with the cancellation code tying to their website, there is only a very small/fine print notification, completely out of the sight of you current screen view – stating that the Cancellation Code was invalid... So unless you know what to look for, you won’t see it! You will explain to RealEstateAgents.com all of this, but they won’t care. They will just threaten to send your bill to collection department if you don’t make your second completely unwanted payment. You do your own conclusion if you want to do a business with this company and their subscription practice.
