Nice program that helps provide structure in approach to reading. Thanks!

My grandson was exposed to a variety of books, not the usual subject matter he might choose on his own. However, I felt that the books increased in difficulty too soon, not a gradual progression. But my grandson is a struggling reader, so that may have been a factor too.

This is the second year I have had my kid in this program. She is not a strong reader and this has helped her each year to catch up to her piers. The length of the class is just right. Its 2 hours. Assignments are done independently at home on the computer and of course reading the assigned book. I didn't give it 5 stars only because my daughter was not happy with the book choice this year. She loved it last year.

Tonya, thank you for this review. I love hearing from parents who have enrolled their child in our classes several years in a row. It sounds like your daughter has really made some progress in her reading skills. We can’t wait to see her back again next summer. - Tara, Customer Care Specialist

Program was good. Would have liked more class time during the week .2 days a week would have been perfect and classroom assistant so that the kids could get more individualized attention. My opinion Kids do better without there parents there. 1 day parents in class the other day classroom assistant. Would have done the fall session if it were in a classroom, do not like the interactive online classes for kids as young as mine

This was a great reading class for my 4 year old. She can now sound out basic words and she is reading the Let’s Read book (one of the books that comes with the class registration) by herself!

As latina mom I had been dealing a lot with the lack of motivation to improve the reading skills for my kids. I used this program to encourage my girls to read more while she is enjoying. I recommend this program for color kids and low income families. This is a good investment.

Great program to help a child learn how to comprehend what they have read. The reading books was great for my son. The decoding of words was right on target. I felt that 5 weeks was not enough for a child to become a lover of reading. If child had to make up a class and the schedule provided did not work an independent study is optional which I feel is not appropriate for a 8 year child.

Thank you for your review, Nad. I’m glad that your child experienced success in our summer program. We do offer classes in the fall and spring that run for 10 - 12 weeks (https://literatureprograms.org/) where our young students continue their reading and decoding practice. We look forward to seeing you this fall. - Tara, Customer Care Specialist
