I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RATE TRACKER!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RATE TRACKER! I'm the owner of Temperance Antique Emporium, LLC in Harriman, Tennessee, and a former Rate Tracker merchant. I had reservations about this company from the very beginning, and unfortunately, my experience has done nothing but confirm those concerns. When I signed up, I was told the normal processing rate was 3%, but I would be charged 4% because the additional 1% was supposed to help compensate the developer of AntiqueTrack, the POS software used in my business. I agreed to that arrangement because I wanted to support the person who had worked so hard developing our software. Unfortunately, things didn't go the way they were represented to me. We experienced issues with technical support, communication, and transparency. Nobody walked me through accessing my merchant portal or reviewing my detailed processing statements. I was receiving settlement emails, but I wasn't shown how to review the actual fees being collected. Eventually, I'd had enough and FIRED RATE TRACKER! But apparently, that wasn't the end of my problems. When I originally signed up, Rate Tracker's representative told me I was purchasing two POS systems through a 24-month payment arrangement. I was told that once those payments were completed, the equipment would belong to me. We even discussed no penalty if paid off early. I signed the paperwork and provided the information requested. I believed everything was taken care of. Now, nine months later, Rate Tracker is telling me the equipment financing was never completed and that I must either pay $2,800 or return the equipment. I contacted the financing company myself. They confirmed IN WRITING that my application was never funded, that Rate Tracker was never paid by them, and that the Rate Tracker representative responsible for completing the remaining requirements never followed through. So now I'm having to dig through months of emails, paperwork, text messages, and financial records trying to figure out what happened. And to top it off, after I publicly shared my experience, Rate Tracker's CEO, Adam Niec, sent emails accusing me of defamation and threatening legal consequences. Go read Rate Tracker's company description about transparency, honest pricing, and helping small businesses avoid surprises. Then understand why I find that description so ironic. I don't expect anything for free. I expect companies to honor what they represent to their customers, communicate honestly, and provide documentation when questions arise. I own a small business. I don't have time to chase down answers to questions that should've been addressed months ago. If you're considering Rate Tracker, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Get every promise in writing, read every agreement, and make sure you understand exactly who you're doing business with. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RATE TRACKER.
