My experience was wonderful while in school but the reason I rate three stars it's because once I completed the program graduated my advisor re-enroll me inside the bachelor completed program which I wasn't ready and I got Sick and could not start completely and now they're saying because I look at the class I'm responsible to pay for the class and now they're holding my transcript hostage I cannot get employment or anything without my official transcripts and they don't care.

I only attended classes online so I’m not sure how they are in person but it was too confusing. I only had one teacher who was caring and actually taught us while the other would give us assignments that had nothing to do with the chapters she wanted us to read. I had a family emergency towards the end and the teacher who didn’t. Make sense basically failed me because I was having a hard time even though she told me to do the best I could. I had an advisor reach out to me at the end and I tried to contact them back and they wouldn’t respond. I’m supposed to be attending a class now and they’ve been messaging me back to back about one assignment I missed because it wasn’t clear when classes started for the next quarter. I’m dropping and I’m done with it. I had better help from my advisor at a university with more students. The woman who helped me enroll has been an amazing person and that’s the only thing that was good about the experience besides 1 out of 2 of my teachers being amazing. I just felt so brushed off until they felt like they wanted to work with me and that’s not okay.

Could have gave me another chance

I would say the CBE courses need a better explanation on how they work. Because it says flexible with no deadlines but that is not true. I get an email from my advisor about once a week telling me to turn in assignments.

Teachers for most classes seemed disconnected. Many times information and tasks were outdated with missing instructions on how to complete projects. Sometimes teachers seem as if they don’t understand the material they are presenting. This school takes a sink or swim approach. You will have to find a lot of information on your own to complete projects

CMA/RN
I have been a student at Rasmussen for 3 years. I completed the medical assisting program and continued on to the RN program. Overall I had a great experience in the MA program and would recommend it. When it comes to the RN program there are a lot of pros and cons that need to be considered. Pros: When I started the program you were only required to get a 65% on your TEAS test which is relatively low compared to other nursing programs. This is your ticket into the program and you can start almost immediately where as other RN programs can have long wait times. The program is accelerated so depending on what generals you have done it is around 2 years or less to get your associates. They provide you with a lot of helpful resources such as an online library, APA guides, free tutoring, resume building websites, microsoft, and career services. Cons: The program is very disorganized, they provide you with very little study material or guidance on how to study for the exams. You usually get a powerpoint for each week and will get a study guide you can go through on your own less than a week before the exam. The exams are very challenging, if you aren't a self starter this program is not for you. They will not work with your schedule at all, in the beginning of the program I was in class one day a week, towards the end I am here 3-4 days a week. Make sure the program is accredited!! Not all campuses are accredited! When I fist started the location I was at was not and they didn't inform me of that or what that meant until my orientation day. This can greatly impact your future employment so read the fine print an ask questions!

I love Rasmussen it been somewhat convenient but the experience have not been good the expectations that Rasmussen set for there student should be the some for instructor some of the instructor lye on the student basically falsely accusing the students for what reason non just rude and nasty and not a truthful bone in there body some of them even lye act as if they will help just text are call that what they say but it all a lye they are not helpful they don't make there self available for the student when need help some are rude some you can't reach them even when they say their available there not when I finish school I will never treat anyone this I've been treated
