Not a great first experience with this school. I reached out via chat today as a prospective student and was having a conversation about different options. I don't know the chat agent's pronouns, but they were chatting with me were not friendly at all. What I find most concerning is that they responded to something I had typed into the chat box but had not yet sent. They asked me "Do you have an associates or prior college?" and I started typing this response but DID NOT send it yet, "I appreciate you answering my questions. I think I will look at other programs and then maybe come back to this one. Honestly, you have not been the most friendly or welcoming person I have talked to. That may be something you want to work on." This was sitting in my text box within the chat unsent when the chat agent responds with "Ok sorry you feel that way. I'm just trying to explain it to you so you can actually understand it. Have a great day and best of luck to you!" How on earth can they respond to a message I have typed but hadn't sent? The only answer? They are monitoring what you type before you send it. I had sent my message right after they sent their response, although I hadn't seen theirs yet when I sent mine. I had decided to take out the "Honestly you have not been the most friendly or welcoming person I have talked to. That may be something you want to work on" section because I didn't want to be rude, and sent the rest. When I noticed their response, I was baffled as to how they can already have responded to a message I hadn't sent yet, and when I replied, "Feel what way?" The agent, having been caught red handed, started typing something and then stopped and abruptly ended the chat. I will never attend this school based solely on this one shady interaction. Rude. Unethical. Dishonest. I do have screenshot and video proof of the chat conversation. If you are going to chat with this school, just beware that they will be watching everything you type, not only what you intentionally send.

Do not go to this school if you are expecting an organized, pleasant experience. Their policies favor the institution, not the students. NO flexibility whatsoever. Your schedule will NOT be released until 1-3 before the start of the quarter meaning you have to have an extremely flexible job. The technology works half of the time and things are so unorganized we "pretend" to do the care rather than actually go through it as you would in the real world. If you don't get 100% on the dosage calc tests at the beginning of the quarter you are out of luck and will not be advancing. They use ATI which works about half of the time. Only online textbooks. Raise tuition constantly. There have been 3 different deans in the 1 year that I have attended the school. The teachers are nice and advocate for the students but the management doesn't care. Not to mention you don't get access to your classes until the Monday the quarter starts, so you start out behind right away.

I have never heard of an associates degree requiring 90 credits, it is always 60 credits. I am assuming more credits equal more money the school can make from each student. I suggest for the future.... they send over all pertinent information to the potential students up front....application, tuition rates for the school, platform used for online learning, financial aid information, etc. This gives the potential student more to think about, more questions to ask, and this lures the students closer to you in a favorable way. Do not wait for the potential student to ask for these documents. First communication should be welcoming to make the potential student experience with this University a positive one, in return they will want to know more, ask more questions, and become a part of this University. I was made to feel unwelcomed when I inquired about this school, and I lost interest. Now after reading the horrible reviews. I was right to deem this so called University unprofessional, and a waste of time. Please do not waste your time inquiring about this school.

This school is ok as long as you have money amd do not need to work for a living. They don't want you to work and are not flexible. YOU must be flexible. Make sure ALL communications are via email because your advisor can deny everything they said to you. Same with instructors. If you have kids, don't plan on mothering them. If you're an lpn. Don't plan on them counting very much of that. They do accept most of your other credits though. Just have invalid reasons not accepting lpn. Example, I earned my lpn after attending rn school multiple times until the end (I challenged the lpn boards). The lpns were in all of my rn classes. They said that rn classes are different than lpn classes. At the college I went to, they were in class with us, I told them. It doesn't matter. Its like talking to yourself. Theu want you to only be commited to school. since I have a mortgage, kids, and am a single mom that is not realistic. This is lpn bridge program is 2 years squeezed into 1 year. They said I could repeat. Long story, my mdc3 and pn 2. (I didn't attend my last lab after I knew I failed mdc3, I told my instructor and she said to wait until my kids are 18... oh, she diesnt habe kids btw abd doesn't want them. Well, 4 more years and round number 4 or 5 but who's counting?) I'm not willing to ignore my kids or lose my home just to pay a fortune to go to this school. Oh and not have a job to get money to pay gir their school.... I mean, no job is also no insurance and I take medication. My uncle died during my finals week as well. I didn't know I could've said something until this Girl said something about her friends dad died and she failed a calculation exam. Well, I guess they pick and choose? I have his obituary but I didn't attend his online funeral as I had final exams. My cousins contacted me upset so not much studying and I worked 2 double shifts before one final and had clinical in the morning the next day with the day after being the mdc3 final that I failed by one question. I was exhausted so I knew I wouldn't do well. I only had reviewed for the first exam. I should have called off they said. Ha! I only worked Saturdays and Sundays and we had exams every Sunday. I was told I should just not work. CF said they'll work with me and they have a true lpn bridge program. This school was a nightmare for me. The instructors do the best they can but the actual college is ridiculous and lie when they say that they'll work with you. I had to make up labs because they had me scheduled labs and clinicals the same days and times two quarters in a row. They refused to fix their mistakes, that's YOUR problem. Just saying, my opinion. Wish I read reviews before going here. I probably could appeal but I will just be a week or 2 behind wich is basically a month behind in their speed up class time. I feel bad for the graduates. I had better clinicals at the community College I had gone to up north. I have BAD anxiety, diagnosed. They know btw. I had my psychiatrist fill out their stupid form but it didn't matter anyway. This school is enough to stress anyone out. The online clinicals are a joke too. Omg the papers you must write even if asn not bsn. Holy nursing journal references!! Never again. I hate this school

I wish I could rate this school a zero. At the Fort Myers campus there’s so much chaos, unorganization, favoritism, instructors and deans close friends, horrible instructors(some not all) that have it out for students who question them, I’ve never heard of clinical courses having lecture online, now it is. Had a total of 4 on site clinicals for 2 clinical courses the rest were in a classroom watching videos and PowerPoints, teachers tell you know all the material so it’s easy to get overwhelmed and have no clue what to study for tests, lots of busy work with online courses. Lack of hands on training, lack of fair grading, no timely grading of communication from anyone. They just raised tuition so it’s close to 5k a quarter to teach yourself how to be a nurse and just write papers, and pass tests. You don’t learn how to work with actual patients. Covid has been here 2 years now. Why is this still an excuse. If you struggle with any nursing classes good luck finding a tutor, if there’s one available they usually have 1-2 sessions available a week and we’re always times I was in classes. If you try to go to certain instructors they belittle you, good luck going to deans they just go back to the instructors with what you said to them and then the instructor has it out for you even more. Learn apa and nothing else bc no Matter how well your paper is written content wise if your apa isn’t perfect your not getting a good grade. Don’t trust anyone. Don’t go to this school, it’s not worth the money, stress, or headache…

DO NOT got to this school!!! I NEVER do reviews, but this program is a disgrace. I am currently in their BSN program and it is an absolute mess. The first quarter was good and the teachers were great, but this quarter is HORRID. Most of the professors are horrible and don't know anything about what they are teaching. Specifically Nancy Drallmeier. She should not be allowed to teach in any capacity and offers no resources for studying. Clinicals are almost worse than the teachers. We showed up to a clinical site and our professor never showed up. Turns out we aren't having actual clinicals because the school is so poor at getting their schduling straight, so they slapped something together on campus that had no relation to our actual class. Students that graduate next month told us to "leave while you still can." The administration and teachers love to use Covid as an excuse for the s**t show that this program is. Save your money and go somewhere where you will actually learn something.

I started the LPN program at Rasmussen College and I cannot tell you how horrible they were. They overcharged the students and when asked about the fees, they give you the run around..... no specifics. The instructors were not knowledgeable enough to answer questions and we were told, "I'm not going to tell you. You can look it up" for any clarification in the classes. They take you to clinical and tell you to do something only to find out it is wrong and then make an example out of you in front of all your clinical classmates. I came back for my ADN degree because going anywhere else meant I had to retake a lot of classes as they had expired. The instructor at the Blaine campus had favorites for students. It didn't matter how hard you worked or how much you knew the material. They are not there for you to succeed. In fact, they mess with your grades to make students fail classes so they have to be retaken. This is how they get more money out of you. When you do speak up and follow the steps they ask you to follow, you are treated worse. I ended up calling St. Cloud to see about transferring to their campus as most students that were able to transfer say it's so much better. The first time I tried, St. Cloud was so warm and welcoming. They said they had room and it would be quick to transfer. I called St. Cloud because my counselor at blaine would not return any messages regarding a transfer and the few he did return, I was given the run around...... one excuse after another as to why I couldn't transfer. He finally said if I called early on in the next semester, I should be able to transfer for the following semester. I called on the first day and said to start the process. It took ALL SEMESTER for something St. Cloud says only takes a couple days. Once I transferred to St. Cloud, I was actually TAUGHT content and skills in every class. I still had to study, but not teach myself everything. They answered any questions in class too. I was getting excellent grades and even made the deans list!! I will say, St. Cloud was amazing but Blaine was a nightmare. It just depends on which campus you attend. I started St. Cloud late in the program and so when I made it to being given a nursing job, I was not prepared by any means. I had to have a lot of on the job training. I was not confident by any means and I almost decided to give up nursing all together out of frustration. Rasmussen University needs to really make a lot of changes. I had such a bad experience that I wanted to call the board of nursing, but feared retaliation if I did while in the program. Now that I am in the field and working, I just don't want to relive the stress of calling the board. I still have days where I feel I need to and I just might soon. They charge a lot of money for the nursing program and treat their students very poorly. Now I am getting ready to start school for my BSN, and I refuse to go to Rasmussen ever again. I don't recommend it to anyone. I share my story when I hear someone considering Rasmussen, especially the Blaine campus. When someone asks where I went to school, I am always embarrassed and ashamed to say Rasmussen. I refused to attend graduation too. Anyone considering Rasmussen, be prepared for a lot of added stress in top of the already stressful nursing program (or whatever program you are entering). They will make your experience a living hell and you will not be prepared to enter the workforce upon graduation.

In my last quarter of the nursing program and have to say this has been the worst educational experience of my life. Aside from a handful of instructors, the teaching has been abysmal at best. It is nearly impossible to get a timely response (72 hours) from instructors or “deans” (whatever that means; they change every quarter). The clinical sites are a joke (virtual or SNFs, even for an RN program). The only pros of this school are being able to get in quickly and be done quickly. You will teach yourself for the most part, which I didn’t mind too much as an LPN but if I didn’t have any prior healthcare experience I’d be very shaky with what this school “teaches”.
