Southwest Refuses Rapid Rewards Earned
Southwest offers Rapid Rewards points that can be spent on things like Amazon Gift Cards. Since the Covid19 crisis started, they have refused to let me redeem my points. Oh, you can redeem points if you want to use their airlines to travel, but not for the offered reward items. I have nearly $200 worth of points that I accumulated by taking their SW Surveys called Rewards for Opinions. They are rather stingy with the points as well. It takes a while to earn the points. I called Southwest about this problem as I feel that I worked hard to earn the points. Southwest is using the excuse of Covid19 to deny my request. As I said, if I fly I can use them. The rep also gave me two other phone numbers. The first person told me I could have them and sent me to someone else who then said no. Headquarters told me to call the company that distributes the reward cards. However, they refused me, as well. This begs the question, "Why should I continue taking the surveys if they refuse to send my rewards?" I am really very unhappy about this unfair practice. I even asked for an exception. They do not really care about their customers' needs. This is very bad public relations on their part for someone who often flies with them.
