Poor Warranty Support
Poor Warranty Support I purchased a Wireless Sensor less than a year ago. The Wireless Sensor itself works fine, but the plastic case that secures it to the bracket is defective. The arms don't push out to hold the sensor in place, so it won't hang freely as it should. When I contacted Rainbird, they confirmed the sensor is working but acknowledged the plastic case is the problem. However, instead of honoring the three-year warranty, their “Quality Team” said they could send me a “Wired Sensor” but not a “Wireless Sensor. Otherwise, I needed to call the seller (via Amazon) and get something in writing that proves my product wasn't defective or refurbished when I bought it. That's not my responsibility. The sensor's plastic failure is a manufacturer defect, plain and simple. Rainbird should stand behind their 3- year warranty instead of passing the issue back to the buyer. I'm very disappointed by their lack of accountability.
