I almost feel bad about giving this site such a low rating since I've been on it for years but now it's not really any good anymore. The learn feature is gone, and they moved the write mode into learn so that's gone too. Plus, they completely got rid of gravity, not even behind a paywall, it's completely gone. (At least, the button is. You can still change the URL and switch it to gravity mode from there) Their reasoning is that the mode wasn't used much so they wanted to focus on the main modes, but they could have just left it alone for people who liked to use it. Now all I can do is match words and do boring flashcards. Quizlet isn't fun anymore and I think I'm just gonna move on to Anki. Anki isn't all that fun either but at least I can actually learn the words. Plus, gravity was the only unique thing about quizlet so now that that's gone, I can switch over without thinking that I'm missing anything. I'm annoyed so I'm tempted to give it one star but since the site isn't completely worthless, I'll give it two stars. I might raise it to 3 stars if gravity mode comes back

Quizlet used to be a go-to to assist my students; now with the paidwall it's become absolutely useless. Please revert this change.

i don't have a lot of time, so i will keep this brief. for all intensive purposes, it is a very good site.. for the first few days of its existence. that was before they put ads in, and would ask you to pay for quizlet plus to get rid of them. i didn't mind that too much, except that they would constantly ask for me to update in my gmail. great. and now its the last straw. the most useful aspect of this website, called learn, has been handicapped. i was 20 percent done with my psychology stuff before i got hit with a paywall. that's right, a LEARNING website that is specifically recommended by most of my teachers removed its best feature because their money is more important that being a reputable website. you guys do realise that the main selling point of your website is that it helps people learn, and that its free, right? i've seen the ads. the only other website that is more exploitive of the students who use it is grammarly, but that is an achievement at the same level of impressiveness as winning in a footrace against an infant. a very expensive, annoying infant. you have 1 star for a reason quizlet, and the reason why is because you instantly decimated the accessibility of your website to the majority of those who use it, which by the way, is the average age of 13-19, including college people who already have to pay for expensive books they won't need. the one saving grace that stops this terrible website from being 1 star is because by copy and pasting multiple of the same template information, i can learn it all. i shouldnt have to do acrobatics to get through this. the most i can hope for in making this rating is that someone who designed this new strategy for moneymaking sees this comment, and goes to bed a little bit sadder because some random 15 year old had to spend 3 times as much effort on something that was once quite easy. i would tell you to do better, but writing a comment does the same amount of impact to a company as squirting a super soaker at the sun. i'm sick of this.

Was actually helpful for revising for tests when modes like learn were free, but now it's useless, since they have made it all cost money.

Habe jahrelang mit der kostenfreien Basisversion gearbeitet und war damit total zufrieden. Seit den neuesten Updates ist das leider vorbei: Nach 5 "Proberunden" wird man blockiert und aufgefordert kostenpflichtig Quizlet plus zu abonnieren. Meine bislang erstellten Lernsets kann ich nun nicht mehr nutzen. Dabei wurd fleißig weiter die "kostenfreie" Grundversion beworben - einfach nur frech und unfair!

I used Quizlet with my students until they put up a paywall. It's disappointing and essentially useless now. It was free and easy to use. I lost all my sets, all my work. There are other alternatives like Blooket and Quizzez that are free and it seems more organized and study sets are well done. They both are fun to play.

It used to be really good but now you can practically only do the flashcard setting and the game. The important part- the LEARNING part- is now pay-to-use, as is the test portion. At least when duolingo became something you could pay for, it remained accessible and very useful even to those who don't pay. Wouldn't be a problem if the price wasn't so steep, it's more than half the price of amazon prime.

I find that taking away write was a little too harsh on the users of Quizlet. There are many students who are not old enough to pay or to ask their parents to pay for a premium version of a website. I hope that the makers of Quizlet please bring write back for the sake of the millions of students who miss it. I understand needing the money as a business, but taking away this feature is only resulting in a very low-quality free version of the app. It is going to decrease the motivation and ease of learning for those who rely on Quizlet (I don't personally rely on it, but I know many others who do.) Also, since I only use Quizlet for very specific things about 4-5 times a year, I can't see myself paying for a subscription that I will barely use. Thank you for taking the time to view this. Again, I wish you the best with Quizlet and hope you guys have enough money to continue as a business. I just miss the write feature.
