I was charged 38 dollars by this company and I don’t even use it or know what it is. And I’ve been trying to get in contact with them now for 2 weeks and no one is responding. It’s an absolute SCAM

Quizlet is a lightning fast way to memorize vocabulary lists. It's like flashcards, but much more fun and interactive.

They got rid of the "Gravity" game mode. Not even a bypassed paywall can help me protect those planets now.

You can only look at the basic flashcard without premium and even they are filled with ads. The free trial requires you to cancel within that time or it will charge you £32. Blocks any good features with a paywall. BAD website would recommend not using it and using GradeIt instead.

Every feature is paywalled now - they've slowly over the years put every feature behind yet another paywall - disgusting and unethical thing to do in the middle of people's exams. Look to other apps, the content here isn't even useful any more.

Horrible. This is a scam. They give you the "free" trial. They don't let you now you'll be put on auto-renewal once the free trial is over. After the free trial I forgot about it as we didn't like the product. Then I find out my card was charged. Okay. I gave them that as I didn't cancel in time. But next year I am charged AGAIN because of the auto-renewal I DIDN'T sign up for. That's what a scam company does. Stay away. Horrible product. Useless. Expensive. Dishonest.

They put a paywall. One of the number one rules to business is don't make something that was once free a paid feature. It is ridiculous.

I was an avid user of this app for my Spanish vocabulary practice since 2017. The paywall they implemented in 2022 has put me off from using it. Imagine if YouTube suddenly said you needed to pay for YouTube Premium to be able to watch videos on the site. This is basically what Quizlet have done, where the most useful features on their site that were free for years, now require a paid Premium membership. I can afford it, but it's the principle that make me unhappy and unwilling to use Quizlet anymore. Principle being, many people can't afford to pay, particularly young students who are a core audience who uses Quizlet. Instead of forcing a paywall for most of their features, it would have been a far better business decision to place more ads in the free version whilst retaining all the features, and promoting the paid version as the ad-free version. This would have enabled Quizlet to keep far more of their users (many users have stopped using since the paywall as they don't want to pay for all the features), provided increased ad revenue, retained the reputation of the company, and still encouraged many to consider paying for the ad free version. Awful move from Quizlet to block features behind a paywall, and the reviews on here reflect this! Reputation down the drain, users leaving in droves.
