A brilliant experience from start to finish! Our expedition leader Ryan was a total star, balancing safety with our desire to see as much as possible and always communicating clearly and with humour where appropriate. The rest of the expedition team were also excellent. Special mention to Kris for his first class photography, Ian for his engaging history talks and Brian, Ema and Mike for teaching us so much about the Arctic environment and the birds and animals that live there. The Ocean Explorer was an extremely comfortable base for our explorations, with good food, very attractive public areas and a lovely cabin with a picture window. I didn't want to leave! Oh, and the truly awesome polar bear encounter on the sea ice will stay in my memories forever.

Was the most wonderful boat trip to my new favourite place in the world. Couldn’t fault it, food, staff, expeditions, information, safety precautions, care and organisation.

Our trip to the Arctic was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had… And I’ve traveled in all seven continents. What made it exceptional was the size of the vessel; the dedication of the captain and crew; and the stellar expertise of the expedition team. Their professional expertise coupled with vast experience in the region, insured outstanding viewing of a sadly disappearing Arctic.

The trip was fantastic. The ship crew was friendly and very attuned to the needs of the passengers. The expedition crew was very knowledgeable and made sure safety was foremost on the ship, the zodiacs and the land.

The staff!! They were knowledgeable, friendly and available! The excursion team mingled with the passengers, made us feel part of the team. The waitstaff was always there with a smile, and were quick to respond to your request. The room stewards kept our rooms spotless like magical fairies that snuck in, did their jobs but were only ever seen flying around the halls with a hello and a smile
