Quark has created an expedition style of cruising with an extremely knowledgeable expedition staff, who also have wit and humor. The hotel staff; cabin stewards , food service, bar and maintenance personel are friendly and accommodating. I'd like to give a 'shout out', for their exemplary service; Melissa, Lino, Kristeo, Aldrich, L Komang, Ryan, Noman (Bistro station cook) and everyone else who made the adventure an enjoyable one...wish I could remember all your names, as well as spell them correctly... The ‘bridge’ and expedition staff/crew were always on the lookout for wildlife, scenery and notified us The passengers comfort and safety are of key importance with Quark. Someone is always there to assist you, on the ship or when doing landings. Quark offers an amazing way to sail through and visit fjords, bays, historical sites while being fortunate enough to see not only arctic wildlife but engage with people, who live in this, off the grid, part of the world.

The expedition crew is very knowledgeable on their subjects, giving very interesting presentations. Services from the hotel staff are very thoughtful. Cyril did a great job making our stay comfortable. The restaurant services are impeccable. Velimer was considerate and humorous. I dropped my prescription glasses in the sea during the polar plunge, Fabrice and Sofia did a grid search on a zodiac for a very long time and eventually found them. Sofia dove into the freezing water to retrieve them. I can not be more grateful for the effort the crew underwent. They did not have to do this. Humanity at its best. When we couldn't fly out from Resolute for 4 days at the end of the trip due to weather, the crew, especially Jake, the leader tried their best to keep the passengers comfortable and entertained and morale high.

An amazing Arctic adventure following Franklin's footsteps, led by knowledgeable guides, really good quality presentations on history, wildlife, geology and ice flows. Lots of wildlife sightings including over 25 polar bears including a mother and her 2 cubs, hundreds of narwhals, many bowhead whales, arctic hare, muskox and others including birds such as the gyrfalcon. The Ultramarine's staff were amazing, good food, great service, it's a first class ship and the Tundra to Table restaurant service was fantastic. The helicopter rides added to the adventure with amazing views from above of glaciers and whales. Paddle boarding watching a walrus was a real experience that allowed us to see the ice flows up close. Overall a fabulous trip and I'd recommend it to everyone.

B”H The house staff and crew were superb, very professional, and always friendly and accommodating! I loved the flexibility: if there were polar bears too close to a landing site, the ship relocated. There were excellent options for all level hikers, and perimeters set for safety. Guides were at my side before I had to ask for assistance in a challenging climb. The lectures were entertaining as well as informative, with great visuals. The level of staff expertise was impressive. When the almost two hundred passengers couldn’t disembark in Resolute at the end of the trip due to fog, the staff made our four extra days on board enjoyable. Last, but not least, Ultramarine is an amazing ship! We loved our room, the lounges, dining areas, Ambassador Theater, the library, gym, etc. This was our fourth expedition with Quark. We look forward to our fifth….

My wife and I absolutely loved our trip with Quark through the Northwest Passage. The ship, the Ultramarine, was spectacular in every way. The hotel, restaurant, the expedition and ship maintenance teams were truly amazing. We learned so much about the north. The expedition teams worked tirelessly to get us out into the field and educated us with passionate talks every day. We are planning another trip with them to the Antarctic. I would highly recommend Quark for any trip!

A life-changing trip! The entire crew - from the cabin steward, to the dining room and bar and the expedition crew - were absolutely amazing! Their passion, skill and enthusiasm are the best I've ever experienced. The scenery? Spectacular! Can't wait for my next Quark expedition!
