All the animals and bird life
All the animals and bird life Expeditions excellent and all staff. Although we could not fly out of Resolute for 4 days, due to weather, the crew were great.

Amazing places
The Ocean Explorer is a comfortable boat with an excellent crew who look after your ever need, great food and service The expedition team work hard to get you off the boat as often as conditions allow and they are experts in their fields This is a comfortable way to see Greenland in all its glory

A wonderful expedition trip …
The only reason I gave a four star review as I felt the food could have been better. There were some weird things on the menu and I found that they were nights that there was very little that I wanted to eat and I will admit I am a picky eater. Also there is really no place for late night snacks. On a positive note, their staff is incredible. The expedition leaders are well-versed have a great personalities and a lot of fun to be with the ship itself is a beautiful ship. The rooms are nice and comfortable and the crew generally goes out of their way to help you.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re delighted to hear that you found the expedition so memorable and that our Expedition Team, Crew, and ship left such a positive impression. We appreciate your feedback regarding the dining experience. While we aim to offer variety and accommodate different preferences, we understand that not every option suits every guest. Your comments are valuable and have been shared with our team as we continually refine our onboard offerings. We hope to welcome you back on another expedition in the future. Be kind to every guest who travels alone
The explorer HONGWEI was very careful and responsible. He helped me very much because of my poor spoken English. However, some service staff laughed at my poor English privately and I heard it, so I didn't give full marks. Although my spoken English was poor, I could understand everyday English.
Response from Quark ExpeditionsOct 6, 2025
Thank you for sharing your experience and for recognizing Hongwei’s support during your voyage. It’s wonderful to hear how much he was able to help you. We’re truly sorry to hear about the negative interaction you described. This does not reflect the standards we set for our onboard teams, and we’ve shared your feedback internally to ensure it’s addressed. We value your perspective and look forward to welcoming you on another expedition in the future. Thank you, The Quark Expeditions Team

Amazing Scenery
Great experience, friendly ship crew and expedition crew. Would definitely recommend it - the scenery is amazing and it felt we did a bit to interact with the locals sustainably Only down side is cost, but everything was included (excluding optional activities)

Good trip
Good trip, terrible complimentary wifi. Did not like helicopters disturbing the quiet and the wildlife. But that's what tourist want.
Response from Quark ExpeditionsOct 6, 2025
Hi John, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your trip overall. We understand your concerns about WiFi and helicopters. As shared onboard, WiFi connectivity can vary depending on the ship's location and weather conditions. We will review your feedback with our team to improve how we communicate this information to guests in the future. Regarding helicopters, while they can be noisy during takeoff and landing, our crew works to minimize disruption for guests, and we want to assure you that flights are never conducted in a way that disturbs wildlife. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we continue to refine the guest experience, and we look forward to welcoming you on another expedition. Thank you, The Quark Expeditions Team

Darwin was wrong ! Get over it…
For the most part the experience was very good. Exciting to see the beauty of Antarctica! The crews was very focused on safety. One very black mark was the “discussions” on wild life. We went to the discussion on birds and expected to hear about the birds we would see, their nesting and migration habits, what they eat, who their predators are, etc. I did not expect to hear fairy tales about how birds “evolved” from dinosaurs. This is totally false and I don’t appreciate being indoctrinated with your false religion.

Overall good experience
Pros: The expedition leader was professional and worked hard. Most of the expedition team members are friendly. The excursions were very good. Cons: Dinner served too late (7pm). We often had to go to bed early in order to get up early the next morning. Late dinner makes it hard to do so. If we need something from the kitchen, we had to go get them ourselves. The cabin steward’s job was very limited. The onboard photographer Mark was rude!
