Quark ExpeditionsReviews of quarkexpeditions.com

Our expedition to Antarctica on the Ultramarine was awesome. The ship was amazing in its abilities in the remote waters of Antarctica. The Hotel Staff and the Expedition Staff were wonderful, and everyone went out of their way to assure that we had an exceptional experience. The trip far exceeded my expectations.

Location, expedition team, penguins, whales, seals , lectures, food, dining, professionalism, helicopter rides, fellow passengers…exceeded all our expectations, trip of a lifetime… Fantastic trip! Quark is the best!

I don’t even know how to explain what an amazing time I had. It was absolutely spectacular! The food was amazing! The staff were incredible. The expeditions were out of this world! They just kept getting better and better. The ship had so many staff that I always felt very spoiled. The lectures were wonderful. I would tell anyone thinking of doing this trip, don’t even think twice! It is a dream come true. 🐧🦭❄️✈️🐳🥶🧊🍽️

This was my first time travelling with Quark and i will certainly go with them again. Every aspect of the trip was meticously planned which supported excellent time management demonstrated by Quark. The lectures on the ship were very educational with each presenter bringing their expertise to the group on a daily bases. The camping, hiking and excursions on the Zodiacs were incredible and above all, i felt completely safe at all times with obvious risk management strategies in place. This trip exceeded my expectations, the Ocean Explorer was clean, comfortable and the food was very good. The ships staff were consistently friendly, helpful and very professional. I loved every part of this very busy expedition from the 11th - 20th December. Thank you Quark.

Fantastic expedition to the Antarctic peninsula! Quark set up an extremely memorable and enjoyable trip, with excellent customer service. The daily excursions were wonderful and they showed us as much as possible within a framework of safe and well-planned trips. The food and drink in the World Explorer were of a high quality, and the cabins were spacious and well-appointed. The expedition team were highly professional and managed everything like clockwork. Very interesting scientific presentations.

Quark provided an outstanding Antarctic excursion experience. Excursion staff shared their passion as we Zodiac cruised. The presentations they provided were easily digested and informative. The hotel staff (housekeeping and dining) were attentive, efficient but most of all, happy and friendly. The captain and his crew made sure we accessed each excursion site on schedule. It was a tremendous experience!

Pick any category to review - service, accommodations, food, guides - it’s all 5 star, it’s that simple. When we do Svalbard, we are doing it with Quark, on the Ocean Explorer. We may even pick the same cabin.

Our Quark Antarctica experience exceeded our expectations. The Ultra Marine is a beautiful ship and the Expedition Team and ships’s crew run a seamless operation. Prioritizing safety and maximizing every opportunity to experience what Antarctica had to offer ensured an incredible adventure. Can’t say enough good things and highly recommend Quark for a polar expedition.
