Quark ExpeditionsReviews of quarkexpeditions.com

The ENTIRE Ultramarine crew were flawless! From boarding to disembarking we did not have a hiccup. The name recognition and attention to detail was incredible. The expedition crew were PHENOMENAL! Exceeded expectations.

Everything was amazing! From the zodiac trips to following pods of orcas, to the helicopter tour, educational talks from various brilliant minds to having dietary friendly foods - only sad point is that no other holiday will come close to this experience! Huge thanks to Jake, Ryan, tansy, miko, Greg, David and all the crew members

From start to finish the experience was brilliant. The house, bar and restaurant staff were exemplary and very friendly. Expedition staff were outstanding, presentations, zodiac rides etc. Their individual knowledge and presenting skills were so engaging.

A wonderful experience managed by knowledgeable professionals! Would highly recommend Quark.

great team and lifelong unforgettable experience! ps:first,It's a pity that polar jump didn't have video record, only 1 picture; Second, not every customer on the ship has the luckiness to have pictures taken by the explore team photographer. Both issues are not the same way as other vessels' routines.

My Quark trip to cross the Antarctic circle in February 2026 was amazing. I was impressed with the expedition team, who had expert lecturers in many subjects, the service team, and the ship's crew. Our expedition leader, Ryan, kept us informed on our daily plans and plan changes. I really enjoyed that the expedition team ate meals with the passengers so there was a chance to really get to know the team. The service onboard was very good. The wait staff learned my preferences within a day and the food was always fresh and well prepared. My cabin steward was upbeat and always looking for ways to make the trip better. One great thing about Quark is the experience of their crew. The captain had decades of experience in the Antarctic and took us through some iceberg filled channels that kept our trip on schedule and allowed us to make our planned landing sites. It was amazing to watch him maneuver the ship between icebergs and make his way through some narrow channels. The on board activities were nicely spaced during the day and night. This allowed plenty of time to use the gym, hot tubs, or relax but still make it to the lectures or other planned events without feeling rushed. Weather in Antarctica determines everything and the Quark team did an excellent job adjusting their plans to get us to places where we could do multiple daily landings or scenic cruising. They also made a great choice to head back across the Drake passage half a day early so that we could avoid what would have been a very uncomfortable return to Ushuaia. I will choose Quark again for any trips to the Arctic or Antarctica.

On a daily basis the ship's crew welcomed us with friendly faces and a helpful attitude second to none. The ship was spotlessly clean. The expedition staff was knowledgeable, helpful with zodiac landings and gave polished fluent presentations with some humour. We never had a chance to applaud the staff working the engines and keeping the ship going in adverse conditions but they were excellent. Chocolates on the pillow at night time would be a lovely but not essential touch

The ship and staff were all fantastic. The excursions from the ship were excellent. The whole experience could not have been better
