PAMELA ANN G.
Staff was outstanding. Excursions and lectures were meaningful and extremely enjoyable. During our unfortunate delay due to a country wide transportation strike, the staff handled everything very well, kept us informed throughout the process.

Ultramarine created an unforgettable experience for me in the Antartica! Professional teams on the ship made possible excited and fun items for all guests, from housekeeping, hygiene, to the arrangement of excursions and delicious meals with a lot of choices. All staff are friendly and helpful. The cabins and all decks are clean and welcoming.

Quark really were the perfect company to go with for our ‘once in a lifetime’ expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula. They are also the friendliest client centred and there is no doubt that once we officially joined the trip in Buenos Aires, our experience was always at the forefront of the company’s mind. The ship - Ultramarine - was purpose built for polar exploring and was not only luxurious, but intimate with their limited number of passengers. You certainly got to know and chat to many other travellers in a super friendly atmosphere as well as build genuine bonds with both the hotel team, crew and expedition staff. I was hugely impressed with the quality and service of food and the hotel team, the exped team and the opportunities offered. Did we come back with a millions of happy memories to last a lifetime? Absolutely. Did I think it was value for money? Yes. Would I book with Quark again? Yes - without doubt, I will be looking at other expeditions that Quark offer - when finances allow! Would I recommend Quark to others? In a heartbeat.

Hi Steph, What a joy to read your review! Thank you for trusting us with your “once in a lifetime” Antarctica expedition. We’re so glad you felt looked after from the moment you joined us in Buenos Aires, and that Ultramarine’s purpose-built design (and smaller guest count) helped create that warm, close-knit onboard atmosphere you described. It means a lot to hear how strongly our onboard teams contributed to your experience, and that the food, service, and range of opportunities left you with a lifetime of happy memories. We’d be thrilled to welcome you back when the timing is right. Thank you, The Quark Expeditions Team

It was just amazing form beginning to end. The team were fanatastic and it was so well organised. Loved every moment. The lectures were informative and interesting. The Zodiac cruises and landings were well organised and alwyas spot on and allowed for changes to reflect weather conditions etc.
