Laurie Chittum, NP-C, treated my asthma properly.
Laurie Chittum, NP-C was very helpful. I had asthma during Finals at graduate school, and called. Some telehealth places will only prescribe inhalers, but I’m on the strongest one (Combivent), and it still was not cutting it. My oxygen has been good, so I knew it wouldn’t kill me, but the symptoms have been disabling. I didn’t have time for the ER or Urgent Care. I hate being treated like a drain when I’m not dying, but can’t sleep or function. People have to function! Laurie prescribed much-needed medication, with no hassles. I was able to finish my term papers, and can lie down and sleep with a clear airway. I can’t say how grateful I am! I wish it weren’t usually so hard to get medications, like prednisone for asthma. As long as they are labeled properly, and a pharmacist’s consultation is given, people aren’t stupid…we’re not going to take them when we don’t need them and develop problems. Those who would, would also drink bleach. I’ve waited months to be out of bed, in the past, because doctors weren’t sure meds were necessary. So glad I didn’t have to go through that, this time!
