Lousy Customer Service
First, I like Pureology's shampoo. I like it enough that since I can't buy it locally, I set up a subscription back in April through the company to have a bottle delivered every six months. I received an email yesterday morning that my Pureology order had been completed. I panicked because I had not placed an order. I also had not received the typical email that companies always send a few days before a subscription order is about to be completed. I thought at first that my account had been hacked and then realized that no, Pureology just didn't send any notification that this order was going to go through. I immediately contacted the company, just a few hours after they sent the email. I received an email back that it was too late to change the order (again, this was just a few hours after they sent me notification that my order away placed--those Pureology workers sure work fast, and on a Sunday, no less!). The email told me that I could mail the shampoo back--at my cost. I called the company and was told again that it was too late to cancel and the company would not give me a pre-paid label to ship it back. Both times I reached out to Pureology, I told them that I had received no notification that this order was going through and I had no window of time to change my order. I was informed both times that no notification is standard company procedure. All other companies that I have subscriptions with always, always send notification a few days ahead of time at least, and I always have an opportunity to cancel the order if I don't need it. What horrible and scammy company practices that Pureology does not do the same. So I cancelled my subscription and I will never use Pureology again. There are lots of shampoos out there that are just as good and more highly recommended by my hair stylist.
