I wish I could give a negative rating…
I wish I could give a negative rating number. Never in all my years have dealt with creditors have I had to deal with one that did everything in their power not to be paid or work with their customer. A relative bought a vehicle from a dealership last year and their loan was handled by PSECU. Until recently they had made their payments on time. They fell behind and being new to owning a financed vehicle were unaware they may have been options to help them. The vehicle was repossessed over a weekend and they contacted the credit union immediately the next business day. They advised the representative they had the payments that were in arrears in addition to the towing\storage fees. My relative was told no payment would be accepted until they submitted documentation as required by their policies. My relative found this odd as none was requested when PSECU gave them the loan but they complied and followed up later that day. They were told their documentation was insufficient and that the only way to get the vehicle back was to pay the loan in full. We spent the better part of two weeks trying to get this resolved; requesting to speak to managers or supervisors; requesting callback from management; and submitting additional documentation. All to no avail as we never heard back from any management and the documentation was again deemed unsatisfactory. Unable to get PSECU to accept the documentation submitted and reinstate the loan he will now be in default and the vehicle sold at auction. This credit union is nothing but scam and they care nothing about their customers. Avoid them like the plague unless you wish to be scammed out of your hard earned money.
