Very happy with the service and all the things you can do with it! If you are trading news intraday it is absolutely worth it to use Benzinga Pro. You can even set up alerts from the SEC and PRs so you can be a second or two ahead of those just getting the regular Benzinga Pro news. So it's up to you how quickly you work. For those extra thrifty and maybe not firing off trades within seconds, you can definitely hack this service for free. Here's how: - With TD Ameritrade you can get the Squawk box feed directly. It's a chatroom option within TOS. (You can open a TDA account for $50 just to get this access if you want but the TOS charts are awesome....) - Sign up for the free Benzinga newsletter. It sends you pre-market and recap so you can look for those big moves. Again, it's all about your trading style. If you want to get the very bottom of a move and get in quicker than the competition - if that's your edge - than $150 a month is EASILY worth it. (Or $102 a month because there are a gazillion coupon codes out there for 30% off) Here's some other things I like about Benzinga Pro: - They have a box "Why is it moving?" up at the top of tickers that are moving. If you are truly trading news and jumping into a stock fast, you won't need to scroll to read the news. It could save you seconds and if in your trading style seconds equals money... well then, it's worth the money. - General Chat for Benzinga Pro is on point. Any chat is going to have silliness but for the most part, the General Chat is full of helpful people that are smart. I've seen a lot of "Hey, what do you think of X symbol" with a ton of thoughtful responses. Great tool for those feeling the isolation. - Desktop alerts for all sorts of trading markers. Example: Let's say you trade Halts, you can set up your desktop to show only the Halts you want to see and you can have that running while you are doing other things. Squawk doesn't know your strategy and so they might not mention the ones you are interested in (by price, etc) I hope this helps!
