They took my money and promised to complete my project, but nothing was ever done. Communication became poor, and I was left without the service I paid for. This experience has been extremely disappointing, stressful, and heartbreaking. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

This is a follow-up to my previous one-star review: this company continues to be a complete scam. While they did eventually agree to issue a refund, despite numerous emails, I have neither received it nor heard from them in the past three months. I've tried calling the numbers I was given, and at least two of them forward to other companies. In addition, I tried their so-called chat help line and was promised a call back that never happened. Perhaps they are out of business. Perhaps they are understaffed and floundering. Or perhaps they are simply an outright scam. Either way, stay far, far away from this business. EDIT as of 4/10/26: They seem to have performed a classic bait and switch with their refund policy. The reps that I worked with said it was a 100% guarantee full refund, at any time, no questions asked. I have that in writing, and that is what I was offered on 1/2/2026. However, now the accounting specialist is referring to a different refund policy (which I'd never seen until this week) that only offers me 28% because of the length of time it has been since the project started. She says they are being generous because work had been done and I am beyond their 120 days. Most of that time was taken up with nobody getting back to me, and it has not been 120 days since I requested or was granted the refund. Basically, they are refusing to honor the refund policy I was given and refusing to honor what their own employees had promised.

Zero because there I nothing less than that. I will paste an email I wrote to them which bounced back. Stay well clear. 'And a very prosperous new year to you all. And yes, to you all. You have posted me from pillar to post, and from one ignorant consultant to the next. And still, do you have a conscience, no. I just read a review from Michelle Ganje Heinrich, whose experience with you is similar to mine. And, most of the reviews, great, but did you post them? Because you know how shitty your service is. Several months, well, almost a year later, I am still not published. Not that I would want to have anything to do with you, no, because you are the most incompetent bunch of goons I have ever come across. I have even had an encounter with someone who had the audacity to threaten me. Who are you? You collect payment and sink like a rock. I will post this email on reviews to counter the ones you post yourself. And I will do this a thousand times. So, who spent my money, while my dream remains buried?'

I wrote for a holiday anthology with a group of friends who intended to publish with Premium Book Consultants in time for the 2025 holiday season. Unfortunately, we did not have a premium experience using this company and have requested a refund. Our issues included communication and the work product. Some of the editing appeared to be done with AI, and some appeared to be done by editors who weren't proficient in the language they were editing. Whatever the reason, the edits were strange, inconsistent, and frequently incorrect. This created hours of additional work for the authors involved in our anthology - fixing the editing done by these paid professionals. Attempting to communicate about our concerns was strained; our point of contact changed multiple times without notice. Our author group had committed to publishing a holiday anthology and pressed forward - until PBC stopped communicating altogether for weeks at a time and apparently took a holiday break without so much as setting an out of office reply to notify their customers. The project was ultimately self-edited and then self-published in time for our initial deadline. I would not recommend working with Premium Book Consultants.

This company’s editors were ridiculous. They also quit replying to all emails and phone calls. We paid them money and then just ghosted on us. Anyone thinking about using this company for self publishing should reconsider.

I hired them in January 2025 to illustrate and publish my daughter’s children’s book, paying a lot of money. They promised a 4–6 week timeline. It’s now been over six months — and the project is still incomplete. The drafts they provided were sloppy, and when I asked for corrections, they never followed through. Worst of all, the project manager completely ghosted us. For the past two months, he has ignored every email and phone call. When I called the company directly, I was told multiple times he would “call me back in 15–20 minutes” — but no one ever called. This company takes your money upfront and then disappears. Zero accountability, zero professionalism, zero customer service. Based on my experience, this feels like a scam operation. If you are thinking of using Premium Book Consultants, don’t make the same mistake I did. Save your money and find a reputable company that actually delivers.

My editor Eric Morgan didn’t edit anything in my poetry book and took forever to get it done. He didn’t work on anything really and then once it was available on Amazon Kindle he tried to get me to pay 1,000 to have the name of the book changed to have it trademarked because someone wanted the title or he wanted another $180 for a new book cover and title. He thought I was so stupid to believe him and that was a total insult to me and my trust. Eric Morgan needs to learn honesty and respect.
