During your late November installation, the weather was not cooperating for us with the tremendous amount of rain and snow that caused very muddy installation conditions. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your experience – our goal is to make every customer 100% satisfied! You are correct, a standard halogen bulb has a lifespan of about 6 months, but can have a bit of variation, sometimes lasting longer and sometimes going out sooner. A bulb that goes out much before that timeframe usually indicates a deeper issue (like a socket), something that can’t always be diagnosed immediately. For this reason, we offer a 30 day “No Service Call” return visit. In looking at your invoice, in addition to the bulbs, we see that you had a couple of broken stakes that we replaced and also a couple of broken fixtures that you didn’t want us to work on because your landscaper damaged them. Bottom line is that we want all customers to be 100% satisfied, and if you feel like our service didn’t reflect that, for whatever reason, we want you to call and give us an opportunity to make it right. Our records show that we did not install your original lighting system, just that we have performed repairs and maintenance each of the last three summers. We are working with the existing fixtures that you chose with your original contractor and our notes are not showing any issues with bulb replacement, so in all likelihood you can change them, too. Maybe we can give you a technique that would help and we’d be more than happy to show you how your system operates the next time you call us out.
