After my engine was installed on my 2009 Pontiac Vibe, the technician found a P0012 code. A cam position timing over retarded, Bank 1 causing the engine light to come on. He replaced the new appropriate sensors/solenoids and engine light will not turn off. He thinks it's internal timing issue with the motor. The car runs okay for now but, I don't know how long the engine will last with this internal timing issue. The response was too slow trying to get things resolved through e-mail. I picked up the car 2/17/25 because, car rental was getting expensive. I filed a claim 2/8/25. I do not want to pay for the labor for another engine install. When I uncoated the engine I discovered rust on the crankshaft where the front seal makes contact, and on the front of the block where the timing cover is supposed to seal. It was a pretty substantial amount of rust.

Was impressed with quick delivery and the price for a reman engine. It was exactly what I ordered. Came in a nice crate very well protected. My Car is back on the road again. Thanks

So far so good. They also worked well with me on a damaged part of the engine.

Fast service and everything is just as it should be

Had the motor installed at a certified Honda dealership. During installation the dealership called and said there was a key way that wasn’t installed and they suspected the motor was never test run prior to being shipped. I said to proceed with the install since they were already more than halfway done. The dealership called back and said when they started the motor it immediately started spewing oil into the #3 cylinder and it was not usable. They said based on what they found the motor was never test run after being refurbished. I then had to pay to have the motor taken out and have a new motor sourced by the dealership. I contacted Power Engines. They did take the engine back and refunded the cost of the motor. However, when I inquired about being reimbursed for the thousands of extra dollars in labor that was accrued from their faulty product, they simple copied and pasted their user agreement saying they would not reimburse for labor costs even if they were negligent. I asked to be contacted by someone in higher management to discuss it and I was repeatedly ignored. Completely unacceptable. I will never purchase through this company again or recommend anyone purchase based on their lack of quality control and refusal to accept their lack of oversight in their products.

The engine was great no problems that’s all I want in a reman engine thank you
