POWELL'S IS GREAT! I bought a paperback "THE OREGON TRAIL DIARY OF ESTHER BELLE HANNA 1852" by Johnny Vincento and really loved the quality. The shipping was fast. The cover had great graphics of an old oil painting from 1849 of the actual FORT LARAMIE, the Diary was authentic and had a nice gloss sheen.

I bought a book our last day in Portland and discovered when on our way home to Alberta that it was misbound. It took Powell's a few days to answer my email, but the employee who did sent another, slightly cheaper, copy to my stateside address at no charge and with no delay. I am grateful.

I've dealt with Powell's for years and even had the pleasure of visiting the store in Portland some years ago. Their prices are fair and their descriptions are reliable.

Great customer service! Had a problem, because of a delivery issue--our fault--and Powels made it right!

Powell’s is taking the middle ground by selling Ngo’s book online and not in the stores. I support their decision to compromise in a polarized environment.

Bought a book from Powell's books on the 24th of July. They shipped it under 12 hours and it got delivered in two weeks. It was shipped from America, while I live in Northern Europe. They said the shipping might take 15 to 20 days - I am amazed about the speed under the conditions COVID pandemic puts them. The book arrived in good health, I am very happy to be a customer of Powell's books.

I bought books in Powell's as a gift to my friend and it was delivered on time. Experience was great!
