Pattern of lawsuits, CFPB enforcements and poor process
Extremely disappointing experience. I was involved in a collection matter where I immediately disputed the alleged debt and repeatedly requested documentation supporting the debt, its ownership, payment history, and enforceability. Despite 27 separate requests, I received no substantive response or documentation. I also filed a Motion to Dismiss. When the matter came before the court on August 14, the attorney of record did not appear, and substitute counsel obtained a continuance. I was later contacted by an attorney who stated that additional documentation would be provided, but that was a lie. Nothing was ever received. My concern is not simply the continuance—it is the continued pursuit of a disputed debt while failing to provide the documentation I repeatedly requested to substantiate the claim. Consumers deserve transparency, accountability, and meaningful responses when they dispute a debt. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend PRA and am taking legal action against them.
