PortatechReviews of portatech.com

Easy to order from website.

Order experience is unique and went well. Have yet to receive it yet but I trust that I will have good experience and that everything will go smoothly

If I could have gotten to the order 24 hours earlier it would have been $15 less but the number of options about drove me nuts. I was building and rebuilding the combo which is what caused the delay in my order over and over again. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was due to the last time I ordered a combo from Portatech, I had to return the RAM due to getting other than what I ordered, it was fixed by Portatech but only after a bit of a hassle. Yep, I'd buy again from them, they will make it right and my 3 1/2 year old system is still running strong. One in the back bedroom and one in the living room.

The overall selection and maneuverability within the website is very good. It gives a clean look on how to build a custom built PC. there is a very large selection and was very pleased that I got my purchased pc for under 1000 where as Amazon or Newegg.com would have charged 1200+ The 2 gripes I had was attempting to compare prices and sometimes limited selection. I had hoped as I clicked on details that I would see the total value of a component such as: how much the total cost of the motherboard alone v.s. the one that is automatically supplied (same with processors). I had already decided that I was to purchase a PC from this website but having Price per item in the details would have helped get this to a 5 star rating. The thing about it is if I knew the exact price on each component then perhaps when I compared with other sellers I may have wanted to go with more of what Portatech was selling rather than get that single piece from amazon I may need/want in the future. What I had wanted to express with limited selection was that while there is a very large inventory. I would have liked to have a choice between the stock RAM that was sold or coursair, Ausus GTX 1060 vs Gigabyte GTX 1060 ect. I did not see the heatsink I wanted but I got what was dubbed performance.

Thanks making your website easy to use and understand. It made selecting all the components much more straight forward. -Nate

This is the 2nd machine I've received from Portatech. My experiences have been positive, including warranty service on part of the first order. Being a tech myself, I appreciate neat work inside the case where most people never look. While I've not (yet) seen the 2nd machine the first was secure with all wires/cables bundled/tied and nothing rattling. I'd give 5 stars instead of 4 but to give a five means there's no room left for improvement. There should always be room left for improvement.- so giving a 4 means they've done a GREAT job in my book.

so far everything went smooth and easy

This is my first time building a PC, and with a little help from a friend, I was able to view my options and decide the best build for me. For years I've thought about putting one of these things together, and this site made it easier than I thought it would be.
