Web page easy to use, and no hidden gimmicks update: Equipment shipped via FEDEX, wasted a whole day waiting for them. would not run out of the box. Investigated power supply looking for voltage switch, (label said 220VAC) emailed and took pictures. Monday morning I called company and talked to very knowledgeable tech. He walked me through a board reset. I then reattached power supply, and the unit would not run. Called again, tech walked me through reseating power plugs on mother board. unit came on, but would not boot. attempted changing bios to fix boot sequence. called again and tech said this was a win 10 mother board and not set up to run win 7. I sent the unit back. I give it a 3 because the company was so very good to work with, and the tech was very good and very helpful, as was the office staff.

I would have liked a button asking me to accept the order before processing

I have used Portatech 2 times prior to this purchase. The first purchase went fine--I was very pleased. The second purchase was very bad. My purchase was received damaged. When I called to inform Portatech of the condition of my purchase, I spoke with the rudest person I have ever talked to in my life. Aside from his behavior, there was no acknowledgement, apology or resolution of any kind. I can understand the occasional damaged merchandise, if there is an effort to correct the problem, but his attitude and behavior were unacceptable. As a result, I have not made a purchase from Portatech in many years, but due to other considerations, I decided to try them again. I can only hope that the male representative I spoke to has long since been fired and that he was an anomaly in the company.

Just bought my first barebones kit and it was pretty user friendly. Will update later when arrives

When configuring a barebones system you have the option to pay $40 to expedite system configuration to 1 business day. After doing that and your order is processed, then you get this in your order status page: "For Barebones and Computer Systems add 3 additional business days to the dates shown above for assembly and testing." Here's what it says when you pay for expedited configuration: "Urgent - Build, Burn-in, Test & Ship Out in 1 Business Day" Seems like 1 = 3 in this case.

Just purchased the computer on line with little issue, will have to wait till i receive the computer to submit a more thorough review.
