I worked for PodMatch for a little over a year.
I worked for PodMatch for a little over a year and was fully committed to my role throughout that time. I consistently gave my best effort, never took any vacation until recently, and genuinely cared about helping the company succeed. What made my experience disappointing was how my employment ended. Shortly after taking my first vacation—which management had encouraged and wished us well on—I was informed that my role was no longer needed. The explanation was that the company had entered into a partnership and that someone else (or possibly AI-driven processes) would be taking over the work I had been doing. While I understand that businesses make decisions based on their needs, I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of notice and the way the situation was handled. After more than a year of dedication and reliability, I expected a more respectful transition and better communication. Alex comes across as a genuinely nice person, and I appreciate the opportunities I had while working at PodMatch. However, the way my employment ended left a negative impression. Employees who consistently work hard and remain loyal deserve transparency, respect, and reasonable notice when major decisions affect their livelihoods. I am sharing this experience so that others have a complete picture when considering employment opportunities with the company.

Hey Stevan! Ah, I was really sad to read this... We hired you as a temporary contractor through FreeUp. We kept it going for a long time, and it was a good working relationship for sure! (Which is why I've recommended you to many friends and companies that I work with.) We partnered with another company (much larger than us, and they already had a full-time staff member who handled the same type of work. I didn't know they had this staff member, and it wasn't until we got into the partnership that we made some immediate changes, this being the toughest one for me personally. I explained to you that as we grew, and that person ended up needing help, we'd revisit with you, which hasn't happened yet. Also, I've mentioned before I'd be happy to write you a recommendation. As we worked through FreeUp, I'm sure there are many other opportunities to work for people through the platform. Believing the best for you as you move forward! You do good work. :) - Alex Sanfilippo
