Complete trap for small businesses —misleading features, terrible support, and predatory auto-renewals strongly advise small business owners to look elsewhere. I run a tight, 4-man operation where every dollar counts, and signing up for Podium has been a massive financial mistake. From day one, sales reps promised me that client group texting was fully supported. When it didn’t work, they claimed it was "in the pipeline." It never arrived. The system itself feels completely outdated. To lock you in, they use a ridiculous auto-renewal clause because they know their software sucks and people want to leave.When you have an issue, customer support is outsourced overseas to people who do not even understand their own software. Their extreme internal employee turnover explains the chaos—we are assigned a brand-new account representative every 4 months, forcing us to explain our business needs over and over again.They do not care about customer success; they only care about collecting their monthly payments. I just found an alternative software that does exactly what I actually need for $300 less a month. Do not get trapped by their predatory renewals and empty sales promises. Bottom line is use someone else. They do not care about your company. Only the payments they lock you into.

The sales staff says their system can do anything (3 stores)and the truth is it cannot although they promised it could and then they did not stand behind what they say it could do. We were forced into a year agreement and stopped answering our emails and calls and sent us to customer service h***. Luckily, our contract is almost up and we will not be renewing.

They are super expensive for what you get. Almost any modification on your account, you have to schedule an appoinment with your manager. You have little control over what you can do by yourself. Also, they autonew and lock you in for a year at a time. You cannot modify your plan or your 12 month service agreement starts all over. We pay almost $600 a month for the same service other businesses charge a 10th of the price for. Very unhappy with my service. I feel like I'm stuck in it.

They will not stop calling. They leave messages almost everyday. When I return the call I get voice mail every time. Every time I leave a message to stop calling and it doesn't work. It looks like they use the AI for everything and it doesn't work properly. Impossible to get real person by email, phone or live chat. Appears to be all AI.

Terrible waste of time and money. I had really high hopes for this service. After dedicated many, many hours and weeks to getting onboarded to Podium we go to actually use it and the charting system is AWFUL. Not intuitive, can't zoom in when taking photos, can't chart with your actual inventory on hand, you have to go back and add it all up at checkout. And the worst part is we had to port our phone number in to Podium but it's impossible to port it back out. So no our phone number is stuck in Podium and we have to use it for the inbox. This whole week (Monday-Thursday so far) We have been logged out with no way of logging back in. So we cannot get ahold of our clients and they cannot get ahold of us. The whole experience has been incredibly detrimental to our business. HUGE waste of time and money and they are actively harming our business right now with blocking our client communications.

Pretty bad experience overall with Podium. Just finished our onboarding process (which in itself is a little confusing) - when we decided it was not going to be a good fit and there were WAY too many bugs in the system. 25 % of calls DROPPED. CRM and automations are so bad... Been trying to cancel since June 12th. Asked 3 times specifically to call my personal cell phone instead one of the times just calls our office line that disconnects.. Genesis had not returned any of my calls in their promised "24-48 hrs". Most of Podium's legwork is so far outsourced half the time you'll be talking to someone not in the US, who has to get you in touch with someone from yet another country. Would definitely not recommend this service for any business owners. Overall I would say Podium cost us at least 20-25 leads a month that were just lost in dropped calls or text messages automations that were poorly managed and lost anyways. Twilio is also a mess...

DONT DO IT. Please take my advice and stay away from this scam. You become trapped, unable to escape. Impossible to to get a response from anyone. It starts with a very pushy sales team promising the earth, only to be moved to the onboarding team who are vague and un interested. Then you are allocated an account manager that is uncontactable and wont return calls. Their phone system is useless and will hurt you business. I am unable to cancel and they are now sending debt collectors. DONT DO IT.

I tried podium to help with our roofing business. It was the worst experience we ever had. They have zero support they do not respond to anything. You can’t cancel and you cannot talk to anyone. It’s the biggest scam going out of all platforms. I was referred by Owens Corning. Never again.
