$577 WASTED, REPEATED NO-SHOWS, NO REFUND, AND ANOTHER COMPANY FIXED IT FOR LESS!
⭐ 1 STAR — $577 WASTED, REPEATED NO-SHOWS, NO REFUND, AND ANOTHER COMPANY FIXED IT FOR LESS! I paid Plumbing Around The Clock $577 for a drain cleaning service that did not resolve my plumbing problem. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that another company, Roto-Rooter, ultimately fixed the issue for LESS MONEY and provided a 30-DAY WARRANTY. On September 27, Plumbing Around The Clock came to my property to clear a clogged plumbing line. I was charged an additional Sunday service fee that was never disclosed when I scheduled the appointment. According to their report, approximately 100 feet of the line were cleaned. I left town that same day, and the property remained completely unoccupied. Nobody used the plumbing system. When I returned on October 1, just FOUR DAYS later, the exact same line was backed up and flooding again. I contacted the company immediately. They promised to send someone on Friday. Nobody showed up. They rescheduled for Saturday. Again, nobody showed up. By Monday, the situation had become an emergency, with water backing up through our first-floor toilet. I had no choice but to call Roto-Rooter. Roto-Rooter came out, cleared the line, resolved the problem, charged LESS than Plumbing Around The Clock, and even provided a 30-DAY WARRANTY. During the cleaning, their technician removed a significant amount of material from the line and commented that it did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned recently. A technician from Plumbing Around The Clock arrived while Roto-Rooter was performing the work and witnessed the line being cleared again. After everything that happened, I requested a refund of my $577, providing a detailed timeline, photographs, and supporting documentation. Management repeatedly delayed responding to my emails. When they finally responded, they refused to offer ANY refund or even a partial discount, citing their no-warranty policy. Their explanation was that drains can become clogged again depending on usage. WHAT USAGE? THE PROPERTY WAS EMPTY. NOBODY HAD USED THE PLUMBING SYSTEM. The difference between these two companies speaks for itself: Plumbing Around The Clock: $577, same problem returned four days later, two missed follow-up appointments, no warranty on clogged drains, and no refund. Roto-Rooter: Lower price, problem resolved, and a 30-day warranty. PLEASE LOOK AT THE ATTACHED PHOTOS. THESE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN AFTER PLUMBING AROUND THE CLOCK HAD ALREADY PERFORMED ITS SUPPOSED $577 DRAIN CLEANING SERVICE. They show the flooding and sewage backup that occurred just days after I paid this company to address the problem. This is what I was left dealing with after their service. I have filed a formal consumer complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and pursued the matter through my bank. I gave Plumbing Around The Clock multiple opportunities to make things right, but they chose not to offer any financial accommodation. $577 PAID. SAME PROBLEM. MISSED APPOINTMENTS. REFUND DENIED. ANOTHER COMPANY FIXED IT FOR LESS AND PROVIDED A WARRANTY. This was an extremely disappointing experience, both in the service I received and in how my complaint was handled. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE HIRE PLUMBING AROUND THE CLOCK. Based on my experience, I would not trust this company to handle a plumbing emergency or stand behind its work. Save yourself the money, frustration, and stress, and choose a company that actually resolves the problem and takes responsibility for its service.
