PlottrReviews of plottr.com

Of all the writer's software out there, Plottr has been the star for me. I could use it immediately, without weeks of tutorials. It is intuitive, well-organized, and saved me from using a wall of 3X5 index cards to plot out my novels.

I write both for academia and two different genres of fiction. Plottr works for everything I do. However, it must be said that this program has a learning curve. I'm still learning and I was an early adopter. That said, the company puts out many videos to show you how to make it sing YOUR WAY (and that's important since none of us are precisely alike). They also have authors of various genres doing tutorials on how they use it, which gave me many new ideas. If you think this is an "install and use" thing, well . . . it can be in some ways, but you'll never get the full power of this without the learning curve. Finally, it's always expanding what it can do, and it always comes with a video tutorial. Sometimes, these changes are user suggestions, which is also nice. All in all, it's my favorite planning/plotting tool. Whether it's a series or an academic paper, Plottr can handle it.

The ability to customize and organize multiple story arcs is very useful to me since I write Epic fantasy. With multiple protagonists.

Plottr does exactly what I need it to do as an author who often has far too many thoughts in my brain. Not only does it allow me to easily visualise my story, and jump in to edit and rearrange as things change, but it also provides templates for the story structures I’m familiar with and enjoy working with. If you need software to plan out your story and to keep you on track, this is it.

I'm really enjoying Plottr. I had already written my first book but was in the middle of editing and using Plottr has enabled me to visually see where I have plot holes. I'm looking forward to writing my new book with it.

A very helpful tool that I use to write. Very useful and organized. Good UX/UI, easy to use. Plenty of helpful, interesting templates to help the writing process. Affordable and you get what you pay for + more.

This software is easy to use. There is constant development. For technical issues, there is a great team for answering questions.

Plottr makes planning out a book very simple, it has an intuitive interface and allows me to keep track of multiple POVs, different timelines, and line them up in a way that works for my brain. It also has handy templates with the more common arc structures so you can get started really quickly. Totally worth the money to me.
