I wish I’d read the reviews here before I signed up for the free trial. They might be technically within the letter of the law, but it’s just terrible from a customer service point of view. Under eu law they would have to provide a 14 day cooling off period. Most companies do this even if they’re not eu based. It’s clear the product can’t stand up on its own quality, they have to scam people out of subscription fees to make money.

The experience of all of these people is the same experience that I have had. I even had it marked on my calendar to cancel two days before the end of the trial if I did not like it and when I went to the app and to the website, all there were to try to cancel were FAQs that told where to go on the site to cancel but none of the cancellation toggles were available. Super unhelpful. I had it marked on my calendar to cancel if I didn’t like it two days before the end of the trial and couldn’t get anywhere. I emailed them and got no response before my trial was over. Once they took my $179 they sent me a congratulations letter which I wrote back to and said I didn’t want this and received the sorry, no refunds reply. I explained: I’ve tried to cancel it and even sent you an email which you did not respond to. It was also interesting that it did not hit my Apple subscriptions list so I couldn’t cancel it that way. this is a total scam in my opinion.

Une application que je n’ai jamais vraiment utilisé vu que l’ensemble est en anglais et que aucune traduction est possible. Et après un abonnement gratuit du 10 avril au 17 mai je souhaite donc annuler l’abonnement (la procédure d’annulation est compliqué à effectuer et dur à comprendre vue que tout est en anglais encore une fois et on m’a même proposé de poursuivre mon abonnement gratuit de 7 jours en 1 mois quand j’ai voulu annuler la première fois) Donc j’ai bien annulé mon abonnement gratuit le dernier jour du contrat gratuit et finalement non le payement pour l’année a été effectué par l’application d’un montant de 152,95€ car selon eux je n’ai pas annulé mon abonnement à temps. Selon eux je devais annuler mon abonnement le 17 mai avant 12h00 sauf que lors de l’inscription cela n’a jamais été mentionné. Impossible de faire comprendre le problème au service client ! Ils vous répètent sans cesse que selon leur politique aucun remboursement n’est possible et ils m’ont même envoyé une capture d’écran montrant l’inscription de l’abonnement gratuit puis payant sauf que dans leur capture d’écran on constate encore une fois qu’aucune horaire n’est indiqué ! Mais encore une fois aucun remboursement ni annulation de payement ni même de geste commercial ! Bref des escroc en puissance sans possibilité de faire quoi que ce soit pour les français vu que la société est basé au état-unis !

Very similar to other users. No comms during a free trial, or reminder that it is ending. And then just the one 'annual plan' that you can't cancel or get refunds for. Awful customer service.

Per 90% of the reviews here, stay clear of this app. I was unfortunate enough to use the free trial and they then charged me for a full year without my consent. When I contacted customer service, they simply shrugged and said we dont offer refunds. It’s nothing more than a sly money grab & illegal. To top it all off the actual exercises in the app are extremely limited and simply repeat one another. Stay clear.

Scammers, plain and simple. I have never signed up to this app, to the point that I do not even have a recognised account - and yet they have still somehow charged me.

I used Pliability in the past and genuinely thought the app itself was good. The content is well put together and useful when you’re actively using it. Unfortunately I haven’t been using it for about 6months and thought I’d already cancelled. My experience with their billing and customer service has completely changed my view. My subscription auto-renewed without any prior notice. I cancelled within less than 30mins of the charge appearing on my Amex as they don’t send you an email saying the renewal has occurred. So despite not having used the app for over 6 months, immediately cancelling and emailing them for a refund, my refund request was refused outright due to a strict “no refunds” policy. The reason for their “no refunds” is they are focused on creating high quality daily content… might be better if they focused on creating a good customer experience. When cancelling, I was offered 6 months free to stay, which shows there is discretion available but absolutely none was applied in what I believe is a very reasonable situation. After looking at other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. The billing practices feel predatory and the customer support experience is poor and inflexible. It’s disappointing because I would have considered returning in the future - I’ve signed up on and off over the years. But this experience has put me off entirely and I would not be recommending this to anyone else.
