My Mac Pro had a major failure while I was in the middle of complex and extensive edit of a hisotrical series. I lost almost a year of work, along with passcwords and access codes. Worse, the failure of teh comp¨ter caused about 8 hard drives attached to it, to lose their files. I found PITS after digging through internet searches and encountering a number of scams that prey on us at our most vulnerable times. PITS came through, not cheap, but they recovered everything that could be recovered. I gave PITS a back-up drive that had "burnt out" - i.e. it started draining power and stopped working. I then found it had become extremely hot. and became extremely hot. I sent it off to PITS without much hope, but they recovered everything and returned it to me on a new hard drive. Everything seems to be there, file structure and all. Brilliant! At first sight it seems quite expensive and takes a while but the results are what matters!
