Such an easy way to learn
I have used Pimsleur for French brushing up (five levels), learning Greek (on level two) and a little Japanese for a holiday. The system makes it very easy to interact with native speakers because of the focus on day to day language and learning how to communicate with sentences and phrases - not just individual words. It is super easy to do daily and the new language just seems to arrive in the brain.

Hi N-J, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that Pimsleur has been part of your journey with French, Greek, and Japanese. One of the core principles of the Pimsleur Method™ is helping learners communicate using complete thoughts, phrases, and conversations rather than simply memorizing isolated vocabulary words. We're especially pleased that you've found it easier to interact with native speakers. Our audio-first approach is designed to develop real-world speaking and listening skills, helping learners process new sounds, speech patterns, rhythm, and cadence so communication becomes more natural over time. We also love your observation that the language "just seems to arrive in the brain." That experience is closely tied to the memory science behind the Pimsleur Method™. Dr. Paul Pimsleur was the first language educator to systematically combine language learning with memory science, developing his Graduated Interval Recall system to help learners retain and recall language at the moment they need it. Rather than relying on rote memorization, the method is designed to strengthen long-term memory through carefully timed review and active recall. Thank you for being part of the Pimsleur community, and we wish you continued success in all your language-learning adventures. Best, The Pimsleur Team
