I got to day 7 and everything fell…
I got to day 7 and everything fell apart. The source for the chords was not the same as demonstrated. And it is almost impossible to listen play look at the same time. I was so ready to ask for my money back. But I am not thrilled.

Hi Sefire, Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with your progress so far. I'd welcome the chance to answer any questions you have about the issue you mentioned with chord notation. To be clear, you are referring to resources not included in my course, but rather crowd-sourced websites that are sometimes updated with new information. That's outside of my control, but the way I teach you to play with my chord-based approach is fully adaptable to any updates that outside websites make to their chord notation. The course isn't really what I expected…
The course isn't really what I expected so far. I still have a few more lessons to go. I suspect my learning style is just a little different. I appreciate that I can go back and review them at anytime if needed. I did really enjoy the hand coordination lessons you included. Thank you for that.

Repeated rambling
Just find theres a lot of repeated talk would prefer not so much rambling and just get to the point for me anyway.

Picking Up Speed
I learned all the keys, all the cords, but was unable to keep up with the lessons when it came to using two hands. In all honesty, I didn't have much time to practice. I was working at it an hour a day and not getting anywhere, so I put it aside. I may pick it up again as I still want to learn to play the piano. (Although I have a keyboard.)

Sorry to give just 3 stars when I've only just started. I got on well with the course until Day 7 when I got confused with the instructions for 'go to google' to Say Something Chords 5 step song-learning process, the first result. Jacques has been very helpful and its probably me who finds the information there and therefore the following instructions to 'listen to the song' and play along with it, is not making any sense to me at this time. However I am determined to push through with Jaques very useful on-line support.

Hard to follow at times
Hard to follow at times. Lessons do not resolve my left-right hand coordination - rhythm hard to grasp. To limit left hand to only octaves and fifths is confusing.

Good course but at the end he says that …
Good course but at the end he says that you may not recognize the song because you're only learning chords.

Hi Mark, I appreciate you sharing your perspective. I'm very upfront that my course is focused on chords and on carrying songs with the chord-based approach. Some highly melody-driven songs will be less recognizable when played this way, but the majority of my students enjoy learning what I teach and find it suits their needs. Best of luck! -Jacques

I cannot give a true review until I have gone into the course further. Obviously someone with some music background can do the course more easily.
