If I could I would get 0 stars, staff sitting and chatting to each other, the queue is getting longer. First saying 20 mins, after another 20 mins, nothing happens,, and they just don't care about ppl waiting, they have them chill time, and gossips time. I wouldn't be coming back, also, they have no stock usually. AVOID BIG TIME!!! Terrible service. AVOID! Maybe Tesco will be more helpfull?

Impolite staff. Too long waiting times. 6 people came in after me and left before I even got my meds. Disgusting!

Apparently even acknowledging complaints is too much admin
I would love to review the outcome of my formal complaint to Asda Pharmacy, but unfortunately that would require Asda to acknowledge that it exists.
The original incident involved my 10-year-old foster son’s controlled medication.
The gist: Asda Frome couldn’t dispense it because their pharmacist was off sick. Fair enough. I asked them to release the prescription so I could get it elsewhere. They told me they had.
Spoiler: they hadn’t.
After trying three other pharmacies, I returned to Asda the following morning. Following an increasingly ridiculous interaction, they then decided they wouldn’t dispense the prescription at all.
So I went straight to another pharmacy.
They couldn’t dispense it either because, surprise, Asda still hadn’t released it.
My partner then phoned Asda to get them to release it. They hung up on them twice. When they finally managed to speak to someone, they checked the system and insisted it had already been released.
An impressive achievement considering another pharmacy was simultaneously looking at the system and telling us it hadn’t.
As an additional flourish, my partner was informed that I was no longer allowed to use Asda Pharmacy Frome.
Devastating news, obviously.
I have significant hearing loss and wear hearing aids in both ears. During the original incident I was repeatedly accused of shouting while attempting to explain myself. Apparently accessibility and de-escalation weren’t having their best day either.
Because this involved a vulnerable child’s controlled medication, I made a detailed formal complaint. I specifically asked Asda to provide the electronic audit record showing exactly when the prescription was released, which should clear up the fascinating question of how it managed to be both released and not released at the same time.
I sent the complaint physically to Asda’s Superintendent Pharmacist at ASDA House.
Nothing.
I emailed senior pharmacy contacts.
Nothing.
I emailed their Medication Safety Officer address.
Nothing.
I chased it.
Nothing.
I escalated it through Asda’s corporate complaints route.
Still nothing.
Not a response. Not a complaint reference. Not even the traditional corporate “We’re sorry to hear you feel this way” email.
At this point, achieving this level of silence across so many different departments is almost impressive.
Before this, our household spent around £130 a week at Asda, roughly £6,750 a year. We now spend precisely £0.
I’m sure one household’s £6,750 isn’t going to trouble Asda’s accountants. But judging by the 1.6 Trustpilot score I’m currently looking at, perhaps we’re not the only ones who have discovered alternative supermarkets.
I completely understand that investigating a serious complaint takes time.
Acknowledging an email generally doesn’t.
Still, if anyone at Asda eventually discovers the Reply button, I’d be delighted to hear from them.

We went to ASDA Oadby Pharmacy on…
We went to ASDA Oadby Pharmacy on Sunday because my little one had ear pain. Usually, when this happens, a pharmacist will examine her ear and advise whether any further treatment is needed.
Unfortunately, at ASDA Oadby, the pharmacist simply repeated the NHS advice we had already received and did not even examine her ear, despite the fact that she had been experiencing a fever for three days.
I was very disappointed with the lack of assessment and support, especially as we went there specifically hoping that her ear could be checked. Unfortunately, I would not use this pharmacy again.

I found some of the staff rude and the male manager abusive. I challenged the manager Mohammed on whether he had actually ordered my medication because he just kept repeating that my brand was not available. So I was without my Levothyroxin for 3 days, which is not acceptable as it's a hormone that is needed every day.
I now have my thyroid medication delivered by an online chemist which has proven to be very much better for my stress levels and my health.

How rude are the staff here?
Asda Arnold:
How rude are the staff here?
They used to be nice, pharmacist came out today and took me into consult room. The room wasn’t pleasant or tidy or clean and the computer wouldn’t work so he banged his mouse several times. He passed me some paper and said ‘give me your name’. He then went behind the back and after ten minutes I decided to leave and went to Singhs where I got a much better service. You ask to see the Pharmacist often when you are unwell and this wasn’t a nice experience. Such a rude man. I think I may change to Singhs pharmacy. Only benefit of Asda is the later opening hours.

Asda St Leonards on Sea.
Unbelievably chaotic and poorly run. Three attempts to receive heart medication, each time queuing for over half an hour and despite having been sent a text advising the prescription was ready for collection told that they didn't have any.
Refused to put script back on the Spine. Pharmacist rude and disinterested. Told to go back to doctor if I had run out (repeat script submitted over a week ago). One person "serving" a queue of over a dozen people each time. An utter disgrace! Should be barred from NHS prescribing.
