You missed my oil tank filling time and i ran out. You sent a tech and be cam and left w/o adding oil to prime the system. I had to call and get another tech to come and add oil and prime so the system would work after a delivery to my empty tanka. No thought of compensation for the Petro caused problem s my contract. Outrageous

I do not use this company. I changed companies when they were setting my cap at $6.00. Really how many customers did they lose?

I have been calling Petro Home Services for two consecutive days simply to find out what services are covered under my Premium subscription. Every time I call, I am told that they don't know the answer and that someone will call me back. I am still waiting. This is absolutely unacceptable. I am not asking for anything complicated, just a clear explanation of what I am paying for. What makes this even more frustrating is that I have home renovation work that cannot be completed until I receive this information. Because of their inability to answer such a basic question, my entire project is now on hold. I find it outrageous that a company offering a Premium service cannot even explain what that service includes. What is the point of paying for Premium coverage if nobody can tell you what you are entitled to? Extremely disappointing customer service. **UPDATE OCT 21, 2026** As of today, October 21, I STILL have not received a single phone call from your company. I have already done more than fill out an online form. I personally called your customer service department and spoke with TWO of your employees, neither of whom could answer a basic question about the Premium service I am paying for. At this point, I believe the responsibility is on YOUR company to contact ME, not the other way around. It is absolutely outrageous that I have to keep chasing a company just to find out what my paid subscription covers, while my home renovation project remains on hold. This is beyond unacceptable. The lack of accountability and customer service is simply unbelievable.

They failed to fill my tank then wouid not come to the house to put an emergency amount in and restart the heat until about 30 hours later after I froze overnight and had to keep calling and getting no answers. They have failed to fill my tanks a number of times leaving me in the cold with no idea whether or not they’re coming. They always say a lot of people need service so “they’re backed up.” If they had enough technicians that would be a rare problem instead of a constant one. But they want to make more money by not hiring more people. It used to be a good company but they were bought by a different company sometime in the last few years and are only used now to make money for the owners. I did not reach this conclusion lightly. I was a customer for 56 years—-longer than most of the employees were alive. And I’m elderly. They still made me wait more than 24 hours. After almost six decades, I am done with them. They are incompetent and uncaring.

I no longer have Petro as an account. Petro has been servicing our propery for many years. I had always bought the service plan & paid for the oil. This year when it came up for renewel, the person on the phone called me after the plan had lapsed & would not honor the locked in price I had to top off my tank. I was also told that all (3) tenants had to agree to purchase the oil or I could not buy the plan. I felt that as a longtime customer, who always played by the rules that this was unfair because of the new terms.

Update to my horrible experience. Today 10/7/26 After I posted this negative review, no one bothers to call me or reach out to make things right. Instead I get a random text from someone at Petro at almost 10pm asking me if the situation has been resolved. ARE YOU KIDDING?!?! What kind of pathetic horrible company are you running? You clearly do not care at all about the customer. Horrible customer service. My hot water heater went down last week Thursday 10/1/26. I reached out to both the main company line and my South Plainfield branch and I stressed that I have two babies and no hot water. I spoke to various people and I was suppose to get a follow up to get everything done. It is now Wednesday 10/7/26 almost a whole week later and no one has gotten back to me, no follow up. On top of that, they promise a free heater tune up with your plan but they always cancel the appointment on their end. HORRIBLE.

Very disappointed with Petro pricing. My last fill in 7-15-26 was priced over a dollar more per gallon than all other CT providers. When I called them they gave me a bunch of lame excuses. Their contracts are also confusing and seem to mean nothing for a high fee. I’m switching to a better company.
