It was a "5 star"experience until my shipping charge quadrupled when I added a final item that was neither big nor heavy as a gift for my wife. The huge shipping up-charge clawed back the "on sale" price reduction that had motivated me to buy the item (a TRX Suspension Trainer). So I'll buy it elsewhere, but my esteem for Perform Better just slid down a way.

Hello Elias, We apologize for the inconvenience regarding the temporary surcharge as well as shipping costs. While certainly not as important as health, one of the many byproducts of the Covid pandemic has been a disruption of the global supply chain which caused costs for raw materials and shipping to skyrocket across all industries and product types. These costs rose to the point where some products became unsellable. Like many other companies country-wide, we are experiencing extremely high freight charges that we are hoping will lower over time. That being said, these increases have forced us to raise our shipping costs. The shipping costs assessed are what we are being charged by various carriers. Regarding the surcharge - not wanting to raise prices and feeling that costs will recede over time, we decided that adding this TEMPORARY surcharge to help cover some of these unexpected increases would be the fairest option. We will continue to closely monitor the situation affecting shipping and material costs and will lower and/or remove these as soon as feasible. Shipping costs are insanely exorbitant. I can't believe I ordered 30 packs of mini-bands and was charged $70 shipping. UPS rates for 20lb would be around $17. There is no way that box will weight 20 lb. I understand you have preparation/handling charges as well, but $70 is gauging. Your bands are on sale, which is nice, but the shipping charges all but wipe out the summer sale. You have a good product with the mini-bands, but if I could find something comparable I would purchase that.

Ordered a set of Perform Better Mini Bands. The shipping was $9.95 on a $6 purchase. Called customer service and they claimed it would cost them $9.95 to send me the bands. The bands don’t even weigh 1 pound.

I ordered mini bands, light weight and small and the shipping is $9.95. Very high postage for a small order. The shipping cost was almost as much as my whole order.

Perform Better used to be a trusted place of good customer service and fair prices for awesome equipment. PB is no longer competitive in its shipping costs and the additional "Temporary Fee", is just over the top. I will be going elsewhere for my fitness equipment.
