Hi Amy, thank you so much for your review! We're so glad your Snug is keeping you cool. For the fans, there are a couple of potential remedies depending on your situation. You could check to make sure you've got the most breathable sheets possible, and that your topper is hanging a half inch past the foot of your mattress for easy air intake. Both can cause the fans to need to run at a lower speed. There is also a Fan Limit you can set in the app, but if those fans on full is something you need, that might not work for you. As an absolute last resort some sleepers toggle the Responsive Cooling off so at least the fans are at a constant speed - but most people would get too cold, it's not ideal. :) Ear plugs work too! haha. Hi Jo, thank you so much for sharing your review! We're so glad your Smart Topper lets you get a good sleep without installing AC. Especially in Arizona! Wearing socks to bed is actually recommended by many sleep experts, though we're sorry they were getting cold. The variation likely has to do with the automatic temperature adjustments your topper makes - if your body needs more cooling on some nights to stay at your set point, because you are warmer than usual or the room is warmer, the airflow will be greater. That would be my guess. . .but it's still a mystery! 🤍 You could experiment with setting the Fan Limit a little lower, to see if that stops the cold feet - but the wisdom of that depends on how low your set point is to begin with. Hi Joey, thank you so much for your review! Our team would love to help you optimize the cooling and fans for you if you'd like, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]. What I recommend if you do reach out is to send screenshots of your and your wife's Home, Settings, and Schedule screens - these should be the settings you usually use. Then let us know what isn't quite perfect about your Snug experience. We can recommend the right adjustments. Breathable sheets are a must - if you hold your fitted sheet over your mouth and breathe through it, and can breathe easily, that is perfect. If it's hard to breathe, we recommend looking for something like a cotton or bamboo percale weave fitted sheet. For the fan volume, you might prefer a Fan Limit set in your app - I'd try 50-60%. It will keep the fans from going too loud, they'll run at a gentler speed for longer to keep you at your set point. Another option is to toggle Responsive Cooling off, but keep in mind that will have the fans run at a constant rate - no more automatic temperature adjustment to keep you at a chosen set point. We don't recommend this unless it's the fans changing speed at night that is disrupting your sleep. The Fan Limit adjustment usually has the exact same effect without any downside. For heating, that is my favourite feature - we hope you love it! Since the fans are sounding a touch noisy it might help if you set the Fan Limit in the app a couple notches lower - but sometimes the higher fan speed is needed if you're a hot sleeper, and you may have already tried this. More breathable sheets can also help, as can letting the topper hang a small half inch past the foot of your mattress for easier air intake. Hi LLK, thank you so much for your review! We're so glad to hear your Smart Topper cools as advertised, and I can relate - my first night I overdid it on the cooling too, lol! I learned to use a warmer (or "less cold") setting pretty quickly. We hear you on the app, and are actively working on improvements which will be available to all existing (and future) customers at no additional cost. :) We'll send an email blast when those updates are available. For the odor, we apologize for this! We have a procedure for "pre-airing" the Certipur memory foam, but sometimes a faint odor can still be present. There are a couple of tricks that can help, though! Leaving the topper uncovered for a day at -10, -10, -10 cooling is one way. Paradoxically, another can be leaving it at +10 Start heating, +10 Sleep heating, and then -10 Wake cooling for a day. The idea here is to warm all the inner materials up, then at the end push out any lingering odor. We've given both these tips to customers and have heard they result in improvement, but haven't done a perfect side-by-side comparison to see which method is best. Neither will hurt! Hi T, thank you so much for your feedback, and we're thrilled to hear your Smart Topper keeps you cool on those hot summer nights. 🤍 For the sliding around, your topper should have come with corner straps which you can pull tight to keep your topper in place. If those aren't enough, we can provide extra straps, or sometimes some non-slip pads for mattresses from Amazon work in a pinch. Another trick is to put a coarse cotton fitted sheet over your mattress but *under* your Smart Topper - this extra friction can also prevent that sliding you're experiencing. That goes for the app connection as well, we'd be happy to hop on a call and work through any network issues you may be experiencing. (The usual culprits are VPNS, "guest network" configuration, Apple's "private relay" feature, or lack of dual band frequency with 2.4ghz connectivity options - but we have a trick even to bypass this) You can reach the team at [email protected].
