Deleted our Amazon fitment data without authorization after cancellation — confirmed in writing then violated
We used PCFitment to manage and submit automotive fitment data to Amazon for our brand codes. The service functioned well during our subscription period. Before cancelling our subscription, we asked PCFitment a specific written question: "Does PCFitment ever submit delete records to Amazon for previously submitted fitment data without being explicitly instructed to do so by the account holder?" Their written response on June 10, 2026 was unambiguous: "No, PCFitment does not submit delete records or make any changes to your fitment data on Amazon without your instruction. If no changes are made in PCFitment, no delete records or updates will be submitted automatically." We also confirmed explicitly that Auto Sync was not enabled in our account — something PCFitment acknowledged as the condition under which no changes would occur. Based on this written confirmation, we proceeded with cancellation. On July 6, 2026 — without any instruction from us — PCFitment submitted 7,500 records to Amazon (Report No. 171783020640). When we formally objected, they confirmed in writing these were DELETE RECORDS. These records were specific to our KNZG brand code (covering listings under our "TiefTech" brand name, without hyphen), covering 7 ASINs. Our LKQW brand code (our "Tief-Tech" branded listings, with hyphen) was not affected and has continuously retained AmazonConfirmedFit status. When confronted with their own June 10th written confirmation, PCFitment retroactively reinterpreted it — claiming it only applied "within the context of an active subscription." In our view, this reinterpretation does not match what we actually asked. The question we asked specifically addressed what happens upon cancellation, using the words "ever" and "account holder." There was no ambiguity. This deletion practice is disclosed nowhere in PCFitment's published FAQ, their terms of service, their pricing page, their Amazon Selling Partner Appstore listing, or any communication during our subscription. It was introduced only after we cancelled, as a post-hoc justification. We had invested $2,500 in brand code maintenance with the Auto Care Association specifically to keep our fitment data active on Amazon — an investment made in direct reliance on PCFitment's written confirmation. Their unauthorized deletion put this at risk for the affected brand code. We have since switched to an alternative provider and are resubmitting our data. We strongly advise any seller considering PCFitment to ask in writing before subscribing: what exactly happens to your Amazon fitment data when you cancel? Get the answer in writing — and verify it matches their published terms. Based on our experience, written assurances may be retroactively reinterpreted after cancellation. We have reported this matter to Amazon's Selling Partner Appstore team, filed a Seller Central support case, and are pursuing regulatory complaints. Update: Our review already specifies that this affected our KNZG brand code specifically (7 ASINs), not our LKQW-branded listings — that was never in dispute. Regarding PCFitment's claim below that this was "requested and acknowledged": we never requested or acknowledged the deletion of any fitment data, at any point, in writing or otherwise. PCFitment's own written explanation to us, sent immediately after the July 6 deletion, described it only as removing fitment data we had previously submitted; it made no mention of any request or acknowledgment from us. That "requested and acknowledged" framing only appeared a week later, in PCFitment's legal notice, after we had already filed complaints with Amazon and other bodies. Amazon's own Automotive Data Quality team has since independently investigated and confirmed in writing that this submission contained unauthorized delete records, and has escalated the matter internally as a result. It's also worth noting that, two months later — despite our clear written communication with PCFitment about these delete records at the time, despite Amazon's own finding, and despite PCFitment's stated commitment above to "resolving issues transparently" — these 7 ASINs still do not display AmazonConfirmedFit.
Response from PCFitmentOct 1, 2026
We understand that the customer is unhappy with the situation, but we would like to clarify that several statements in this review do not accurately represent what happened. PCFitment did not remove the customer’s active fitment data from Amazon. The customer’s active LKQW brand code was not affected, and the related listings continued to retain AmazonConfirmedFit status. The review itself has been changed multiple times after we provided our formal response, technical evidence, screenshots, submission records, and previous communication. The revised version now acknowledges that the issue was limited to the KNZG brand code and seven ASINs, while the active LKQW brand remained unaffected. This is an important difference from the original impression that all fitment data had been removed. The submission in question was related to a discontinued brand code and the records associated with those ASINs. At no point did the customer clearly identify the specific seven ASINs that should remain active while asking us to make the requested changes. We acted based on the instructions and information provided to us. After the customer raised concerns, we also tried to arrange a meeting so that we could review the complete situation together and provide full support. Unfortunately, the customer did not proceed with the meeting or share the questions and concerns with us in a way that allowed us to resolve them together before publishing this review. We have the complete email communication, technical records, submission history, and supporting evidence related to this matter. We are always willing to review the details with the customer directly and resolve any genuine issue transparently. We respect every customer’s right to share their experience, but we also believe the review should accurately reflect the complete facts and the actual scope of what occurred.
