Hi Maureen, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Pawshake provides a platform for sitters to advertise their services and offers veterinary coverage for bookings made through our system — sitters are independent providers, not employees. To ensure a safe and reliable experience, we encourage all pet owners to follow Pawshake’s onboarding procedures, be discerning when selecting sitters, and always meet the sitter in person before confirming a booking. If your concern is regarding a particular sitter, it would be responsible to report the issue to our support team. Pawshake is a community, and community reports help us regulate and keep the platform safe for everyone. When these steps are followed, Pawshake is a very reliable and safe service. Kind regards, Pawshake Support

Hi Eduarda, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We need to clarify several factual inaccuracies in your review. Your account was not deactivated due to inactivity, nor without explanation. Our team reached out after identifying an off-platform payment discussion in which an owner asked, “Do you want me to book via the app or Revolut you?” and you replied, “Revolut is good for me.” This directly breaches Pawshake’s Terms of Service, which prohibit requesting or accepting payment outside the platform. This is a business relationship. Pawshake provides advertising, payment processing, customer support, and veterinary coverage for eligible bookings. Attempting to deliberately sidestep platform payments while continuing to benefit from these services is not acceptable. Regarding communication: our records show that you were contacted about this issue. The claim that no explanation was provided, or that the decision was made arbitrarily, is incorrect. We ask that reviews remain honest and accurately reflect the situation. Based on the evidence reviewed, Pawshake has decided not to continue this business relationship. — Pawshake Support

Nikita Patil, This review repeats claims that are not accurate, so we need to clarify the facts for readers. Your account was not deactivated without explanation, and your payout was not withheld arbitrarily. On 21/07/2025, you contacted our team to cancel an upcoming service due to a claimed family emergency, while another booking was already underway over the same dates. Our staff responded sympathetically, asking whether you needed assistance or whether the ongoing service should also be cancelled as well. You did not reply, despite multiple follow-ups. We also contacted the client directly to confirm the booking status. As a standard safeguard, the payout was temporarily paused until confirmation was received. Once you confirmed in writing that the booking had proceeded, the payout was released immediately in line with our normal process. A review of the email thread shows no mention of legal action, and it is not technically possible for Pawshake to process payouts within 30 minutes, as you claim. Pawshake pays sitters reliably and consistently. We do, however, remove sitters from the platform when there are repeated issues with communication, reliability, or trust, as these standards are essential to protecting pet owners and other sitters. We encourage reviews to remain honest and factual. We’re responding publicly so readers have the full context. — Pawshake Support

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your feedback. At Pawshake, the safety and comfort of both sitters and pets is a top priority. When offering home-based services, it is important that clients are able to view the facilities where their pets will be cared for, and that the environment meets minimum safety and care standards. This ensures pets are looked after in a secure and suitable space, and builds trust between sitters and pet owners. Offering home services is optional — if a sitter prefers not to show their home or is not comfortable doing so, the safest option is to remove these services from their profile. Refusing to share the care environment can prevent bookings and may raise concerns for potential clients, as they cannot be expected to leave their pets in an unknown or unverified space. Please note that Pawshake’s Guarantee will not cover bookings where the sitter hides the care location from clients. Sitters must always provide a verifiable care address to ensure both the pets’ welfare and client trust. Pawshake encourages all sitters to carefully consider the services they offer, communicate clearly with clients, and always prioritise safety. Following these guidelines protects both sitters and pets, and helps ensure a positive experience for everyone involved. Kind regards, Pawshake Support

Hi Laragh, Thank you for your message. We understand that disputes and additional requests during a booking can be frustrating. However, it is essential that pet owners disclose their dog’s vaccination status before a booking begins. This information is crucial for the safety of the sitter, their own pets, and any other animals they may come into contact with. Discovering during a booking that a dog is unvaccinated — after potentially exposing the sitter, their pets, or their friends and family — is not acceptable and places everyone at unnecessary risk. As an owner, you have a responsibility to provide all relevant information prior to the booking starting, so that the sitter can make informed decisions about care. Sitters are entitled to request this information at any stage if it has not been provided, and it is reasonable for them to seek clarification or additional details to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved. We encourage all owners to communicate openly and fully about their pets’ health and needs to avoid misunderstandings or safety risks during a booking. Kind regards, Pawshake Support
