The method of collecting the specimen…
The method of collecting the specimen is ineffective. Particularly if the nasal passages are dry. Perhaps a more thorough swab of the nasal area infected would yield a result. There is undoubtedly an infection present, as confirmed by several doctors and an ENT, but it was not possible to collect any sample, other than tissue fibers, by blowing into a tissue.

Hi DK, great question on the swabbing. The swab included with SinusKEY is designed specifically for the blow-out method, which collects mucus from the tissue. Sinus collection would require a different swab and should only be performed by a healthcare provider to avoid injury. The blow-out method has been reviewed and approved by medical professionals both inside and outside of MicroGenDX before use and is preferred for patient comfort.
