I would never recommend using PatientFi. I financed an $8,000 balance and was enrolled in automatic payments specifically to pay off the loan by the 5/1/2026 promotional deadline so I wouldn’t owe any interest. The automatic payment processed correctly every single month except once. When I noticed it hadn’t gone through, I immediately called PatientFi, paid over the phone, and actually ended up making two payments that month. After that, I continued checking my Wells Fargo account every month to confirm the scheduled payment had processed. I also called PatientFi to make sure everything was on track and was repeatedly told everything looked fine. Then, on May 2nd, I was shocked to learn there was a random unpaid balance of about $200 that no one had alerted me to before the promotional deadline. Because of that small remaining balance, I was suddenly charged approximately $1,500 in deferred interest. The most frustrating part is that every payment reminder email only tells you your scheduled payment amount—it does not clearly state the remaining balance needed to avoid interest. If I had known I still owed $200, I would have paid it immediately. Even the customer service representatives acknowledged how unfair the situation seemed. They submitted two separate waiver requests on my behalf, but both were denied by management. I did everything I reasonably could to stay on top of my account: I set up autopay, monitored my bank account, called to verify my payments, and even reached out proactively when there was an issue. Despite all of that, I was still hit with a massive interest charge over a small remaining balance. Jessica and Belinda are working the perfect job as this company 100% scams you and they have no sympathy. Be extremely cautious if you choose to use PatientFi. Double- and triple-check your remaining balance yourself, because relying on the scheduled payment amount or assuming autopay will get you to the promotional payoff date could end up costing you thousands.
