Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Second time purchasing and apparently you sell close to expire products and have it when purchasing but if you don't pay attention, you will not know this from anywhere else such as order confirmation or anything. Buy at your own risk. When I asked if they could ask the supplier for an extension, they said no this was not possible. Which I know is not true because I deal with many different vendors. I purchased several bags to use for my commercial bakeryy and I cannot use expired product Stacey Greenwald pretty much told me no refunds, even though it says on the website 90 day return, but apparently is not for food. Of course they just wanted to trick me into purchasing expired product and said too bad if you didn't pay attention before the check out. I've ordered almost 70 bags of this Irca Cacao powder and I was going to continue to buy more and more but now I will never buy from this company again after the horrible treatment. Now I'll have to put $500 in the trash because this company will not work with me on doing a return for unexpired product. I literally received 5 days close to expired product. How in the world would I be ok with using this? Or using it on time?

Hello Deborah - We appreciate your feedback, however this is not a truthful review. As we explained kindly and professionally in multiple emails, you purchased our last 36 units of Irca Happycao while they were on short sale for 40% off the regular price due to it nearing its best by date, which is not the same as an expiration date. We regularly put short sale products on significant discount so customers can get great deals, as they are typically still very usable and safe past their best by date. This discount was highlighted and the short sale date was very clearly displayed in all-caps, bold, red text right below the price on the product page, just as we do with any product within 90 days of its best by date. We provided you with a screen shot of the product page showing this information was prominently displayed, not hidden. We also explained that we did proactively reach out to the manufacturer to request a date extension but they declined to provide one, stating they cannot extend the best by date of a product once it has left their warehouse; this is the manufacturer’s policy and out of our control. When unable to get a refund, you requested a return and Stacey did reiterate our return policy on food products, which was also provided to you on your order confirmation, delivery confirmation, and the Shipping & Returns page of our website. We understand your frustration with overlooking the short sale information when purchasing, however falsely claiming you were tricked or treated horribly is simply untrue and unfairly damaging to our small business. As we already mentioned, customers are always welcome to reach out to us to confirm the best by date on any product prior to purchasing. Feel free to reach out if we can help you with anything in the future. Thank you.
