ANITA IS TRULY A GUIDING LIGHT! When I began applying to medical school, I knew I had a lot of meaningful experiences and accomplishments that could make me a strong applicant but I struggled to figure out how to connect the dots. Anita helped me transform bullet points into an application that genuinely reflected who I was, what I had worked toward, and why I wanted to become a physician in a way that was both authentic to me and compelling to an admissions committee. All I hoped for was a single acceptance. Just one opportunity to pursue my dream of being a physician. With Anita’s guidance, I ended up receiving nine medical school acceptances. genuinely don’t think I would be in medical school today without Dr. Paschall. I started working with her when I was trying to figure out whether I should apply to medical school right away or take a gap year. At the time, I really wanted to apply, and my parents weren’t particularly sold on the idea of waiting another year. Dr. Paschall helped me recognize that taking a gap year was the right decision for me and even helped me explain to my parents why it would ultimately make me a stronger applicant. Looking back, I’m so grateful she did. That year gave me clinical experience that ended up being incredibly valuable, and I truly don’t think I would have gotten into medical school without it. She helped me look critically at my application and identify things that could have held me back that I never would have recognized on my own. She helped me decide which extracurriculars and opportunities were actually worth pursuing during my gap year and then helped me put together the strongest application I possibly could when it was time to apply. Her help with my writing was also invaluable. She spent so much time reviewing my personal statement and secondary essays, and her edits always made my writing better while still sounding like me. She was also incredibly generous with her time and frequently went beyond what I expected, whether that meant giving me additional feedback, talking through a decision, or reassuring me when I was panicking about the application process. Medical school admissions can be brutal, and she was there when I cried over rejections, reassured me when I was convinced I wasn’t going to get in, and celebrated every win with me. I never felt like I was just another applicant she was advising. I only applied to medical school once, and I got in. Now that I’m well into medical school, I appreciate even more how much of an impact Dr. Paschall had on getting me here. As a former BS/MD applicant, I knew how difficult the medical schools admission process is, and I was ready to confront it once again. Even after working to create a complete portfolio in undergrad, Anita provided directed, precise, and supportive guidance from day ONE. She simplified the process so quickly, and gave me guidance that was targeted to my unique profile. I was seeking essay guidance for the primary and secondary applications, but she even gave me recommendations on how to strengthen weak areas of my application. She is an absolute GEM, and without her I would be lost at sea. She works incredibly hard to support her clients, and responds to even the smallest questions or comments.
