Party CityReviews of partycity.com

I bought a pinata that cost $39.95 and build it only about halfway with candy because it was a quite large pinata hung it from the tree that handle broke through on the top it fell to the ground bust wide open not one child at the party got to hit the pinata and then I bought 20 glow-in-the-dark swords and almost every one of them was broke within five seconds of taking it out of the package they were that cheaply made some of them were broke inside the package they were a dollar 69 each I like the fact that they have a large variety a bottoms but they are way way overpriced for the quality or the cheap quality of items you get there

It’s not that great if a place to work at, the pay is crap, the hours are crap and it’s one of the most underpaid jobs for how much the company is worth, you would think that a 3 billion dollar corporation could at least pay their employees 9-10 dollars for the amount of work they have you do, all this stupid freight that doesn’t even need to be brought to stores considering the fact that there’s so much in up stock that it overflows and makes the stores look messy and like trash, i guess it’s okay for a first time job but not for anything else, you can make more starting off at McDonald’s for half the responsibilities, but yeah party city is definitely not a good job whatsoever.

Their store discounts and "rebate" / "gifts" were chaotic or false in my experience. Stella, a former manager in Surrey BC, gave me 70% off retail but only when she was present in the store to override the register. When she was away, the cashiers could only give me their max, a 50% discount. Their receipts had a "gift" or somesuch if you go to their site. So, I did, and got a email that was much less (worthless, to me) than the promise on the receipt. But, we Canadians, we don't go ballistic over such things. A few weeks ago, I was buying up more party supplies, and the new manager, new cashiers, could only give me 20% maximum first, then changed their offer to iirc 5% discount. Since I get 60% retail from other party distributors, I didn't. Also, their in-stock supply for what I needed wasn't enough, even checking other Surrey BC stores' stocks.
