I started 2 other ground schools… 1 was ok, nothing terrible about it, but left a lot to be desired. The other, seemed ok at first until it came time to need support/ask questions because the “explanations” made no sense at all and provided numbers that had nothing to with the question which I got wrong (question was asking to calculate fuel usage, then the explanation told me I needed to find the baggage weight by subtracting the reported weight from the total weight ***the question provided the baggage weight***), then it was a nightmare. When I sent a screenshot and asked for clarification of why and how, the entire answer I got was “yeah, FAA does that” and never heard from them again. After starting the course with Part Time Pilot, it was instantly clear that the quality was better. I didn’t realize how much the other 2 courses were lacking until I got going with this course. Explanations make perfect sense, support is quality. Definitely recommended, don’t let the name/brand trick you into thinking it’s subpar, because so far, it’s been hands down the best.

I originally found Part Time Pilot's podcast because I wanted a way to listen and learn on the way to work. Once I started listening - Nick has a way of breaking everything down so you don't feel "dumb" if you truly don't know a single thing about flying. Listening to the podcast gave me confidence and I decided, "Why not try ground school? I can do this!" I signed up right away and I'm so happy I did. PTP's school is so easy to follow - very intuitive. I love the different ways you can learn. Nick has a mix of audio, video, writing (online and he even wrote a book!) - and... on social media PTP provides great nuggets of information. If any of my friends become interested in learning, I definitely know who I'm going to recommend they listen/learn from.

The value of the information provided is unbeatable! By far the best option for an online ground school!

It was hard to choose a ground school and I agonized over choosing the “best one”. The thing that stood out for me about Part Time Pilot is the access to Nick the owner and the live sessions. I’m learning a lot. The format is accessible and unpretentious. Website is user friendly and easy to access on computer, tablet, or phone. Keep up the good work Nick!

This is a great, structured study guide for your FAA written exam, among other things like to prepare for your checkride or to merly refresh yourself as time goes by. I am about 70 percent finished with this program and I am learning so much... I am not only learning how to answer the FAA written exam questions, but principally to understand the meaning behind the answers and concepts. I chose Part Time Pilot, because I wanted a structured study guide, as going into the pilot industry with no previous knowledge can be very overwhelming. I can say from my experience, this program has vital to the foundation of my aviation career.

This is a great online ground school. It's designed to go at your own pace and it keeps in mind that I have a full time job right now that doesn't allow me to study 7 days a week. Nice people, nice simple platform, and easy to use. Loce the podcast as well. I listen to that while I'm driving and it reinforces my learning. Good stuff!

Price stood out first, this is what drew me in. Then I really liked how the videos were available on youtube and I could see what was going to be included in the course, and as I watched the videos my ultimate selling point was on the background knowledge you include from an engineering degree. I gain such a better understanding with an equation and graphical analysis provided that models what is happening. Someone with a really thorough understanding can go through the how and why behind something as if it were simple and make it easy for a learner to follow and I was able to find that in these videos. From what I saw, many other prep programs are focused on memorization for specific FAA question segments and this program is focused in providing true educational groundwork. If you are just getting started, watch several of the videos and see if this will match your learning style, for example watch the videos on lift and drag. The equations aren't part of the FAA written but help you actually understand how to fly safely and efficiently.

I bought this Ground School after watching Nick's YouTube video that compared Part Time Pilot with other ground schools. I was skeptical at first, and did my own research on popular ground schools. Part Time Pilot is the truth! I am so glad I didn't waste my time or money on another school! My favorite thing about the school is the explanations for missed questions. I love that I don't have to do extra work of going back to find out why I missed a question. Nick has provided us (the students) with so many resources: facebook group, study hacks, videos, podcasts, live lessons, study groups and that's only a few! BUY THIS COURSE YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!
