Awesome resource for your written or to just brush up on and review stuff you need to know before your checkride. I wish I discovered this course sooner because when I did I already took my written. However if I had this course before I took my written I can say with confidence I would’ve gotten above 90%.

Part time pilot is a great ground…
Part time pilot is a great ground school, the audio and video is helpful. The study at your pace is good for full time employees who has a limited time. Only wish I would have discovered it sooner.

So many ways to learn
I have been studying (or trying to study) ground school myself with a book and It was not quite clicking. So I found Part Time Pilot online ground school and I know it will be the recharge I need. They have already sent me downloadable flashcards and a study guide that I can now use, and offer online video, text and AUDIO guides. I listen to the audio lessons during work, and it helps me significantly in retaining that information when I later do that full lesson in my dashboard. Very impressive service personally speaking.

Longest review ever!!!
Originally I was going to move to San Antonio and stay with a pilot buddy and do a groundschool in person, as I learn better in person, but I didn't qualify for the Meritize loan and Meritize wouldn't help me figure out what to fix or do to qualify for the loan, it ended up being an awful experience and on some bad advice, I wasted thousands of dollars trying to fix my credit etc to no avail. The groundschool wouldn't give me a refund and never disclosed to me that it was non refundable. Which was appalling as I had told them from day one I was moving from Hawaii to do their commercial program and they could care less as they already had their money.
When calling to initially enquire about ground school, every time I called the school, I got contradictory information. When I was calling probing for information, most of the people I spoke to over the phone couldn't even answer basic questions about the groundschool, and it was obvious they knew absolutely nothing about aviation, which should've been a red flag. I later found out through a lot of research and forums and talking to pilots, who have been there done that, and way wiser than me, that they were like military recruiters telling me anything I wanted to hear to get me to sign my life away. Spinning a lot of webs about ideal training, availability, timeline, etc, to entice me.
I had to start all over figuring out what to do.
I did a lot of research on groundschools and asked a lot of pilots for advice. It seems only one person I talked to recommended or even knew about part time pilot. My friend did it and recommended it. In his words, it was more modern, updated, engaging, straightforward, streamlined, and successfully got him through it and explains stuff you get wrong thoroughly.
Upon my own research, I gleamed that it teaches in many different styles, and platforms. Not just some 50's educational real that drones on and on for aeons as you slowly fossilize. I am definitely more of a hands on learner. I have a short attention span. It was obvious Nick was trying to cater to those who are adhdesque in nature, but also wise enough to understand that there are many learning styles and he tries to meet the needs of all simultaneously. One of the very appealing things to me was the plethora of options to access learning. Laptops are great, but many times inconvenient and just impossible to use on the go. Having the ability to use a smart phone, laptop, watch, listen etc, is super useful. I downloaded a bunch of the audio lessons and listened to them on a flight and while waiting at the airport. I feel it's valuable to listen to the lessons I already completed, to pound in that Intel. I also had pleasant experiences emailing Nick and he always responded promptly, which left a great first impression. Wether it's truly Nick or AI, we will never know, but regardless, it had the same effect.
One of if not the primary reasons, I chose part time pilot, was due to Nick's empathy and experience being frustrated with his process going through ppl. I can wholeheartedly relate as a scuba instructor and my journey becoming a professional and being lied to and fed a lot of bs to keep me paying to pursue what I was told was a lucrative career, being frustrated with the industry and wanting to make it better to benefit everyone. A long with my uni days, having most professors just being a cardboard cut out of an educator collecting a paycheck, while us scholars are forced to educate ourselves. Myself working 3 jobs and sleeping a mere few hours a night to pay for an education I'm not getting.
Also with my background working at a university, seing students being told whatever they want to hear and not what they need to hear, just so they can get money out of them. A total lack of ethics and pragmatism. Selling people degrees they have no future career in. Ruining people's lives for profit. The scuba industry is the same. A lot of people are mislead, as they are seen as a source of profit and not a human being. Most educators don't care and it's magical and makes all the difference when one does.
So kudos to Nick for actually giving a crap about other people, having empathy, ethics, remembering his hardships, and wanting to be a steward of the community. That is awesome, admirable, honorable, and powerful. Thank you Nick.
To paraphrase my novela. If you want a groundschool that has a lot of features not available anywhere else. In many learning styles and platforms and accessible for life. Is simplified. Designed by someone who is one of us, can emphasize, relate to you, is transparent, will respond to emails, is ethical, is constantly updating and perfecting his school, because remarkably he cares. Choose part time pilot. Thats why I did.

I am currently working toward my PPL. I have used Kings, Sportys and now Part Time Pilot. I find part time pilot the most comprehensive and easily understandable ground school so far. I recommend PTP if you are just starting out on your PPL

Glowing review!
I have listened to/watched all the videos and podcasts and use the material frequently in my ground school course. Very simple to understand.
