excellent location, peaceful, serene....owner/landlord couldn't have been any nicer or accommodating....he was a large part of our satisfaction.....town of Santa Maria was quaint and ideally located between the Amalfi and Sorrentine coast.....5 Stars

The hosts were awesome! The location of the villa was a little weird, being in a commercial area, but once inside the gates you could have been in the countryside of Italy. But this was also good, as we were close to a gym, the supermarket, the train station, and all points beyond. The outer areas of the villa itself were beautifully landscaped with roses, fig trees, and pots of flowers everywhere. Our only complaint is that there was no shelving in the bathrooms or the shower, and as we stayed for three plus weeks, it became tiresome to have toiletries on the floor.

We spent 2 weeks in June, 2016 at Villa Florentine with our family, 25 in total. It was a wonderful time for all of us. The house was perfect, beautiful pool and lovely area. It was an idyllic vacation until our house was robbed one night while we were all sleeping. I think it is important for other people going to Tuscany to be aware that this is a possibility. We were taken by surprise and had difficulty dealing with the local police as they spoke limited English. The police did tell us that this is starting to happen in the area where Villa Florentine is located. We were fortunate that all we lost was money and we went on to enjoy our time in Italy. We just feel a responsibility to warn others that this is happening in Tuscany.

In conjunction with Drew's heartfelt sentiment, which we greatly appreciate, I would like to reassure all Parker clients that their security and safety is our top priority. Immediately upon hearing of this incident from our staff in Italy, we notified all vacationing guests to enact safety precautions. We simultaneously alerted all our villa owners in surrounding areas to install visible deterrents such as surveillance cameras and window grates along with tightening the internal security of their properties with tougher locks, alarm systems and perimeter sensors. In speaking to Italian police, they have increased the range and frequency of their patrols. Sometimes the most idyllic settings do lull the most savvy travelers into dropping their guard and leaving doors unlocked, as occurred in this incident. Compared to many sought after tourist destinations worldwide, Tuscany is ranked among the safest locations, and we are committed to making our properties safer still.
